#BlueJays outfield crowded now. Francisco, Snider, Thames, Davis, Rasmus, Bautista. I smell a trade.

With Ben Francisco, #BlueJays could go with LF platoon (Thames) and trade Travis Snider for a starter.

No firsthand knowledge of trade talks between these clubs, but doesn't Travis Snider seem like a fit for #Athletics?

I don't like Ben Francisco much anymore, but I consider this a decent deal considering how little the Jays gave up.

As for the crowded outfield, I'm strongly inclined to think this means a trade is in the works (for one or two of the Jays current outfielders), but that's not exactly certain. AA may just want a huge battle in Spring Training for that LF spot. That doesn't really make too much sense though, considering it'd be odd if Francisco or Davis win the spot and Thames and Snider are both benched.
Good Lord, the little stoner's got a point.

Travis Snider and Kyle Drabek for Gio. That's my guess.

I really hope this is leading up to a trade because if not...wtf?! Why don't we just bring back more bad OF's like Corey Patterson too.

It will be really unfortunate (mainly for Jays fans it seems) if this means the end of Snider in Toronto.

Even Wilner seems to think another trade is coming.

Afraid to write blog post on the Francisco/Gailey trade, because it likely won't stand up very long. Another shoe will drop. #bluejays #jays

Has to be a trade coming - two left handed bats at left field in Thames and Snider has now created a glut. One of them or even Rajai Davis on their way out?

its too bad.
a Fransisco for the Blue Jays is like a Williams for the Raptors.

my thoughts exactly, but there is always a market for an additional Alvarez or Johnson.

I think we're close to acquiring a SP.. The names that come to mind that are reportedly available are Gio Gonzalez or Jurrjens

Here's what Rogers wants you to know: His salary last season was $1.2 million. He's still arb eligible.

I don't recall AA ever selling low so I don't think it is a slam dunk that Snider is gone, but two managers (Cito and Farrell) in addition to AA never seemed high on Snider, so who knows. Thames is a more than suitable platoon OF if you have a RH bat with him (ala Cat/Reed many years ago), but Francisco over his career has hit lefties and righties practically the same (.768 OPS against LHP, .759 against RHP). He is not the ideal platoon guy. Maybe all this means is Rajai Davis is moved (though who the heck would want him for $2-3M?). We'll see.

If it's in a backup position you can afford to have someone like Snider or Francisco backup.
