Where are we going to get our all star PF or C from?

Are we already writing off Jonas and Davis?

I don't think a team NEEDS an all star PF or C to win. We had one earlier and couldn't get passed the first round.

I had hidden sarcasm in it, I just didn't green font it. Cos obviously we're set on C and PF. We don't really need to recruit all stars from those position, what we need is SF and PG. If we don't get top 2 picks (ADs) we'll get a good SF from the draft. And hopefully go hard at the free agent PGs.

If Bynum decides to leave for a bigger role, he'd have to consider Toronto. Well have the money to sign him, and a bunch of young guys - like him - for him to grow with. Long term he'd be our starting C, and JV would play at PF - that'd be a devastating front court in a few years. Gives us room to use Ed and Andrea as assets to fill out the rest of the weaknesses. If you add a nice PG through trade and a SF through the draft, we're looking good for the future.

You guys think Lamb can play SF in the NBA? I mean, we're talking like 6'6 and 200lbs.......and that's probably high.

Love him as a prospect though. Could be a star SG.

But he's crazy long..SFs may generally be stronger but they might have trouble dealing with this quickness and length. Not ideal but if we did draft him I think we could play him alongside DD..make DD guard the most physical 3's and when a 3 is not as strong/physical let Lamb guard him.

Lamb will get bigger and stronger. Plenty of guys of similar size have logged major minutes at the NBA 3-spot. You just make it work. Bring him off the bench for major minutes, next to DD or JJ depending on matchup. His ball stills and overall savvy on the court are exactly what I see this team missing. Does he fit with Casey's defensive mentality? I can't say.

Stop worrying too much about position. Lamb is the best wing prospect and he's got good potential too. We draft him and take it from there.

Thank you!!!!!!! Enough of this lets draft by position crap. Of the wings available Lamb is clearly the best. Lets take the BPA and gtfo there.

Just because Lamb sports a 7-1 wingspan does not mean he can play SF. If that's the case, Rajon Rondo should be playing SG because of his 6-9 wingspan. For a wing with that length and above average athleticism, he seems to be a subpar rebounder. There's no way he will work at SF.

IMO Lamb is not the best wing prospect. If we land lets say 4-5th pick. I'd much rather take Gilchrist. Just hope his offenses improves.

There would be plenty of mins available between DD/Lamb/JJ, and effective combinations of them who could be put on the floor. Later on if we find DD/Lamb pairing doesn't work, we could trade one of them. But DD would not keep Lamb anchored to the bench or anything.

A) Improve at rebounding
B) Bulk up

His rebounding was ok last year, and it's only been 9 games this year. Give it some more time.

He's shooting 32% at the collegiate level.

That's because he's playing beside two other chuckers, so it's rare for him to touch the ball. And whenever he does, it's an automatic shot hoisted. He needs to improve his shot selection no questions asked, but he still has the best range in this entire class. Watch the games and you'll see how far his range extends. Beal has been compared to Ray Allen/Eric Gordon on occasions, so that has to say a bit of something.
