Oh God. Why don't they just bring in Nikoloz Tskitishvili as another surprise and cheap center.

LMAO Macecase
no this is the bushleague type stretch 4 you sign when you have no cap space.
DraftExpress: Slowly coming to the conclusion that If Vladimir Radmanovic can get NBA rotation minutes, pretty much anyone can play in the NBA. Incredible
johnhollinger - Twitter
twitter.com/johnhollinger
I feel like the Hawks signed Radmanovic solely to keep me entertained. I just hope they encourage him to handle the ball in transition
The exact Definition of Pathetic - sad and deserving of it.
Now for Hollinger's take on Leuer that I just looked up on Google Search: "Hollinger Jon leuer"
Scout.com: Hollinger's Draft Board: Leuer at 14
But first, if you're looking for the CliffsNotes version of my Draft Rater, here are the five big takeaways:
• Marshon Brooks, Josh Selby and the two Morrises appear overvalued.
• Brandon Knight, Jimmer Fredette and Jan Vesely are overvalued, but not as strongly.
• Kyrie Irving and Derrick Williams are, rightly, the top two players on the board.
• Tristan Thompson and Tobias Harris are undervalued.
• Jon Leuer, Norris Cole and Greg Smith are your sleepers.

Well on a positive note. My sources say he is not the big man we are getting but the shooter. Face it guys we are getting Asik and all will be forgiven.

Re: Vladimir Radmanovic anyone?
Some keypoints about why the Hawks signed Radmanovic.
- I guess he’s the 3-point shooter that both L.D. and Smoove said the Hawks need. “We need a for real, for real knock-down shooter,” Josh said. “I’m not asking for Kyle Korver, but a guy who can just spread the floor and just knock the shot down.”
- Radmanovic, 31, is still a legit 3-point threat: He shot 43.1% (70/173) on 3s last season for GSW. He’ll be spotting up at the 3-point line: 54.4% of his FGA were 3s, and 74.5% of his total FGs were assisted. According to Synergy Sports Technology, 40.2% of Radmanovic’s offensive plays were spot-ups and his 1.08 points per possession on those plays ranked 70th in the league.
- More positives: Radmanovic had an above-average assist rate last season. The Warriors allowed 3.42 points fewer per 100 possessions with Radmanovic on the floor, according to Basketballvalue.com. Some of that probably can be attributed to Golden State’s bench players playing better D than its starters, who play very little.
- But Vladi had two good box score rates: blocked shots and steals, according to Hoopdata.com. His rebounding rate was poor for his size, though, and he had a high turnover rate.
- If J.J.’s 3-point numbers get back to their career norms then the Hawks will have a couple shooters that defenders must respect. As long as Al, Smoove or T-Mac are on the floor they’ll also have some good rebounders to collect the misses.

Im hoping they are just giving him a camp invite just to see if he still can do anything. But its way better shooting bigs out there. They do need more 3point shooting but its better options then him. He should have been the last resort. There are a lot of people I would have went after before him

Josh on the reasoning behind slimming down to his rookie weight: “I played multiple positions last year. Playing the four for three years I had to play with a certain amount of weight to withstand that contact and playing those guys down low and matching their physicality. If I’m going to be a more versatile player this year and be more mobile and get around those screens, then I need to get back to the weight I was accustomed to playing with when I first got in league.”

He'll bite some of Marvin's minutes at the 3. He can shoot... not a big to play inside at all. I'm ok with him here. It could be a bit better, but given the money we had to spend, it's right about what you can get.
GO HAWKS.

You'd have to be crazy to play Radmanovic on Lebron/Deng and leave the smaller Smith on Bosh/Boozer. 6'10 31yo Vlad Rad will play the 4.

You would have to be crazy to start him period...
Anyway, can someone tell me that the 6.88 M salary that shows on ESPN (ATL/ roster) is wrong?

Re: Vladimir Radmanovic anyone?
This is what we needed a good knock down shooter, and as long as we got him cheap this is a great move by Sund. And ESPN better have made a mistake, Rad is not worth 6.88 M.

Pretty sure Vlad Rad would be vet minimum. 6.88M starting salary can get you a lot more even in this spend crazy period.

Re: Vladimir Radmanovic anyone?
move of a d!ckhead. For all intents and purposes Josh Smith is still the rim protecting center. Still No size, still 1 guy, who's 6'8, protecting the rim on effing defense.
Radmanovic is just another Laker reject. First Powell...at least he shoots 3s. Is Kwame next:lol: I wonder how many games we'll see if Radmanovic ever goes at the 4 Horford at the 5. And then Zaza at the 5. And then Horford traded for a rim protector.

yeah, when I saw his name I didnt feel that they got him to do anything but shoot 3s. wasnt really thinking they got him to really make an impact down low. i dont think we are done looking for a C. I am also hoping for Asik. I live in chicago and have been watching him carefully. the dude has alot of heart.

I watched a great deal of Golden State games last season and they basically used him as a 3-point shooter. He fills a need for us. I've been without access to the net, phone, and cable for 5 days, so I am just now getting caught up on the latest news around the league.
I like Vladimir Radmanovic. I'm a bit surprised some of you dislike the signing, but I am curious to know what the terms of his contract are.

It's not a big issue considering both signed for the vet minimum. I think it's solid depth for our bench. On the other hand, I would like to see some additional help at the 5, but that probably won't happen due to the cap situation, and the limited talent that's available.
