Gruden on QB who throws an interception, then punches a teammate and starting crying on the sidelines:

"You know what I like about this guy? He gets fired up when he makes a mistake and then he lets it all out. He doesn't let it carry over to another play, he just gets rid of it before he gets back out on the field. I'll tell ya, that just gets me pumped up!"

SEA does a lot of posturing for a 5-7 team.

1. Rodgers
2. Brees

5. Caminance

After that it gets pretty cloudy. I think if Cam had any sort of team around him, he would be ridiculous. His team constantly botches things when he dominances though. :(

After that, I agree the guys are all pretty mashed up. I think there's a good case to be made for Eli and a few guys to be put ahead of Cam... but I honestly believe the Giants are a better team with Cam than with Eli.

Newton has insane upside, but i think you're are way wrong to think the Giants would have a better record this year had Cam been their quarterback instead of Eli.

Yea Carolina has a terrible defense, but the Giants defense has been just as bad. Both are giving up basically the same points per game and the Giants have actually allowed more yards per game.

As for offensive weapons, Carolina has better running backs, better tight ends, and while Eli has a deeper group of receivers, it's not like Cam has a scrub receiving core.

Newton just needs experience and then if he works/prepares his asss off going forward, he should become a beast.

I think Cruz and Nicks is far better than anything that the Panthers have... I also think Bradshaw/Jacobs is on the same level as Williams/Stewart. In addition Cam has lost (or been in games that could have at least gone to OT) if their special teams would do anything other than fail.

Maybe I overrate Cam. But every time I watch him play, he has his team in the game, even against teams that are far superior.

I also don't buy the "he has more INTs than TD argument". It's true when it comes to passing, but that would also ignore the 13 TDs and 554 yards that he has produced on the ground.

Nobody ignored that, in fact I put in my original comment. But as a passer, it's not like he's been top 5 good this year, or anywhere close to it. Good for a rookie, yes, good in relation to the rest of the league? No.

If you want to say Cam has one of the top 5 ceilings/potential I think that is fine, but he isn't a top 5 QB this year right now.

If you look at overall yardage (Passing + Rushing), overall TDs and overall TOs... he is right there with Manning, who I'd put at six and was considering putting at five.

He was also 19th in QB rating, 17th in completion %, 24th in INT%, 25th in TD%, and 8th in YPA. I'm not big on overall yardage numbers, as they don't reflect efficiency. Brees will end up with more yards than Rodgers, but that doesn't mean anything.

He's a hell of a runner. He's been pretty poor as a passer, supporting cast or no supporting cast.

Also, lulz @ Peter King not giving Coach of the Year to McCarthy in his recent MMQB.

If we go 16-0 and MM doesn't get COY, that would be the stupidest thing ever.

I guess that's where we differ.

I still think Sam Bradford has a chance to be good, even though he is awful this year. I think his team is causing him to fail a lot more than he is, same with Cam.

Harrison rightfully gets a game suspension for his hit on McCoy.

Thought he deserved more than that. That hit was just nasty and his excuse that Colt lowered his head like he was trying to run was total BS. The guy just doesn't get it.
