i don't think there's any certainty that we can get any of them right now. debating which one to get is kind of pointless.

Shawne would be happy with 2.5 per. I think it's still poss. he would take the min., as for JC, I seriously doubt he will take 2.5 per.

Shawne was so valuable last season because he played center and then played PF when Amar'e would move to center. Now that we actually have a starting center on this team Williams becomes less important and would see his playing time completely slashed.

With Tyson coming and playing at least 30 mpg at center, Amar'e playing 40 mpg at PF, Melo playing 40 mpg at PF there is 32 total mpg available to our bench forwards. Fields would slide to the SF whenever Melo is out, so take way those 8 mpg from the SF position. Leaves 24 mpg for our back-up 4's and 5's. Jeffries is playing at-least 10 minutes per game when we switch to a zone defense, so when would Williams play? This isn't anywhere close to the same team we had last year, the roster structure, playing time, and bench needs are completely different. A player who was great for us last year would be useless for us this year.

I don't see the need for Williams. He's not a need pick-up, he's more of a luxury pick-up than a necessity. Our back-up guards are much more important necessities.

R u crazy?? 40 mins a night for STAT with this jam packed schedule. I'm looking at, 30-35 mins a night from Amare and 35 -37 for Melo

Some sites say the Hawks want TD, other sites say TD aint involved in the trade. If we give up TD, then we NEED TO go for Baron. I definitely dont wanna see Bibby starting...

Lets take a risk and wait for baron. This team can afford to taking risks now. Shawn or no shawne, we would almost have the same wins while baron could take us too far.

I'm pretty sure Baron doesnt affect our Shawn signing, we are only holding out on Shawn because of JC.

Hopefully it's enough for teams to pass on bidding for him.

As a Cavs fan I don't know what's going on with Baron. I'm guessing his back will feel much better after he signs with a contender. Maybe the Cavs told him to stay on the dl until his buyout/amnesty is done. I believe the Cavs have until Friday to use their huge trade exception they got from losing LeBron. If they use it they will amnesty Baron in order to avoid paying any luxury tax. If not they will do the buyout and save a few more dollars. We'll know on Friday and until then don't expect to see Baron in practice due to his 'back' issues...like I said not sure if it's legit or not. I do strongly believe the Cavs prefer Baron sign with any team other than the Heat for obvious reasons.

BTW Baron is still a very good player when motivated. The Cavs played much better at the end of last season due to BD. Davis virtually beat the Heat on his own. I think he can really help a playoff team.

The Heat won't happen if you use your amnesty on him. So it will come down to Dan Gilbert valuing his wallet over pride & emotions.

He played well against us as well. That's why A LOT of Knicks fans want him here because he wants to be here which = motivated Baron which = scary Knicks combinations for the rest of the eastern conference.
