Re: Kings' potential
Yeah, this season's going to be very interesting to say the least. Look's like we have a solid group of guy's who are ready to take that "next step." I'm not exactly sure how good this team is, or how well they will perform this season, but, I am sure of one thing; the future can only get brighter from here on out!
BTW: From what I've heard, Jimmer's been playing very well in practice lately. Great news! I just wonder if that will become an issue as the season progresses. Obviously, if he becomes a legit player - he's gonna want to be a starter for this team, or another team; maybe not in his rookie year, but eventually.
I guess what I'm getting at is, If he does become a legit starter, and Thornton improves as well, we might have to trade one of them sooner of later. However, I'm hoping he becomes more of a 6th man type of player, like Bobby jackson! That would be awesome.

Re: Kings' potential
^^Who wouldn't want a Bobby Jackson on their team? The 6th man position is nothing to scoff at, my friend. That's a very important position, believe it or not! Obviously, we couldn't keep all three players - Tyreke, Jimmer, Thornton - if in fact they did all become elite stars, unless of course, one of them took on the role of the 6th man. Think of it more like Manu Ginobili - a legit star, rather than just another guy who sits on our bench.
So to answer your question, yes, I would be content with Jimmer as our 6th man. I believe that's the only way all three players could co-exist. Unless you sold one of them, which wouldn't be in my best interest.
Sorry, if you interpreted that wrong.

Look at Ginobli, Odom, Crawford, Terry etc. All legit starters playing the 6th man role.

Re: Kings' potential
No doubt the starting guard-line will be Tyreke and Marcus. But, my hope is in the near future that Jimmer will become the player in any combination of a Mark Price/John Stockton/Steve Nash and that MT will eventually take on the star 6th man role much like Manu or the "Microwave" Vinnie Johnson from the Bad Boys Detroit Pistons providing the scoring punch off the bench. Add to the mix Isaiah Thomas, a soon-to-be fan favorite (just wait and see). He's a speedster that pushes the tempo, is reliable with running the offense, making the right passes, hitting the 3, and is capable of even catching alley-oops for dunks. I saw the him once at U-Dub and the dude can play. I can't wait to see our 2nd unit run the break with him at the helm of the reins.
