useless coach matchup. Chael vs somebody would be an epic season.

Chael vs Bisping is the season we all want to see.

Could imagine the British jokes? Not to mention Bisping is sensitive about that. That's an epic war of words there.

Stop this madness!!

Wandy can't keep fighting these sluggers.

Leben f'd him up bad and I fear Vitor knows those nerve endings in the chin are ripe for Vitor smash.

Is this fully confirmed?

Sadly, I see this fight going exactly like their first fight.

The same sentiment as GC popped in my head when I heard of this fight. Same thing when people talk about Rampage/Forrest rematch, Nog/Carwin, etc.

But in the end, I just think to myself, this is the ufc, guys who need to be protected or face only certain other guys in their division should probably retire.

Well, styles are important too, no matter how aged/battered a fighter is. Vitor's just a plain bad matchup for Wand, always has been. I wouldn't be surprised if Forrest beats Rampage though, he's got the style to beat him (though I agree that Rampage probably has a little more left at this point).

I don't think we disagree on anything in this situation?

I guess I just wish the guys we always have to worry about getting knocked out (Wandy, Chuck, etc) would retire, instead of us always hoping they get put in with "Maia" instead of "Belfort".

I like it as a TUF season, although as others have pointed out, the fight worries me a bit.

Some details from the article that people may have missed:

Casting for Brazil's inaugural TUF program was scheduled for Tuesday. It's the first version of the reality show to take place outside the United States.

This means it's highly unlikely that it's not starting until after Faber/Cruz. It probably starts not too long after Belfort's fight with Rumble. It probably runs simultaneously with Faber/Cruz's season, but may not be aired until afterward, if at all.

The show will air next year, although UFC has yet to determine how it will be viewed outside Brazil. Although the next edition of the U.S. original will start using live fights, the Brazilian program will follow the old format of taping material that will be edited into episodes for later broadcast.

From the sounds of it, this is being made for audiences in Brazil. It may be largely (entirely?) in Portuguese. Maybe they throw it on FX/Fuel with subtitles, if they show it at all. Maybe it will be an online thing for viewers outside of Brazil.

You've got to think they are aiming to have this fight in a key slot (co-main event, or third fight from the top) on their stadium show in Brazil in June. Would really help drive the gate. If that is the case, maybe they air the show on FX/Fuel leading up to the event.

Yeah, not sure where I was going with that. I think I read your post wrong.

You would imagine they'd have to release a subtitled version, TUF usually brings 3-4+ guys into the UFC per season it'd make no sense to have some of them popping up at events and no English-language countries knowing who the hell they are. Even if they don't put out a subtitled version, the fights have no commentary so we won't really need to watch any other part of the episode.

Silva & Belfort are WAY better coaches for fighters than the option.

Get me the Brazil show please.

it's kinda odd that they're going to fight considering Vitor will have a win/loss from Anthony Johnson regardless. This is some Japan or low-level organization type of move, booking two fights in advance.

and + a subtitles version. hell, make it available online. that would be a huge draw and moneymaker. i would love to see Wand coach and I don't really watch TUF at all.
