What I decipher from your vernacular is that it's a done deal. So in that case:

I mean, the Pacers? god bless him if he wants that mess.

Pacers are actually in a pretty good place right now. Two All-starish Level Players in Granger and West (3 between them) Tons of youth and gobs of Depth. They'd be nice with Crawford.

Collison/ George Hill
Paul George/ Crawford
Danny Granger/ Dahntay Jones
David West/ Tyler Hansbrough
Roy Hibbert/ Jeff Foster

Legit depth at 4 positions, Paul George has real star potential, and Roy Hibbert is an up and coming center, plus their perfectly made for the compressed schedule next season with their depth.

George Hill Crawford Hansbrough and Foster make for one of the best benches in the league, a 17-7 starter last year, a former sixth man of the year, and the fourth best player for the San Antonio Spurs?

Pacers could certainly get the 5th seed or who knows how high with that lineup if a few things go right.

Nope; just speculating. But I think it means he's not gonna take our $2.5m

Indiana just offered Crawford two years and 10 mill. We had better Sign Williams while we still have the chance. He still has upside and shot and defended very well for us.

HEY CRAWFUL....just take the Indy offer, stop dangling the Knicks on a string hoping they will magically come up with more cap room to pay your chucking ass.

OR take a discount and chase a ring with us.

JUST DO SOMETHING ALREADY.

It must be that the Knicks said "Please wait for Jamal to decide. If not you can have the $2.5M." If so, I don't like that at all.

He's not signing for $5 mill less. Kind of glad, don't want any ex Isiah stench on this roster.

Really? Crawford at $2.5 mil is an amazing steal, regardless if people hate him as a fit for this team.

Shawne at $2.5 for 2 years, isn't a bad deal, but I would prefer if he signed for the vet min.

But Crawford would walk at the end of the season. We're not winning the title this season so whatever he brings to the table is irrelevant. Shawne brings us one step closer to the goal of championship by 2015.

Purple should be loyal to NY, they gave a chance to get back into the league. No one else was giving him a chance. I am impressed with his loyalty. I wanted Jamal & Syrup...I'll take Syrup now...Jamal aint leaving 5 million on the table, nor should he.

Yeah, Indy is looking real nice. West and Craw would be a pretty good off season for them. They got a solid core, some good looking youth and potential to grow. They are up and coming with some other east 'powers' getting ready to fall.
If you'd rather see your team fail so you can be right
...you are a fan of your opinion not the team.

I rather have Shawne locked for two seasons. That way we don't have to worry about getting a backup forward for a while. Fields is a RFA next season. We don't need too many FAs to deal with. We will get a guard next summer with mid-level.

One thing I had not considered is using Shawne Williams in a sign and trade for Crawford. I think technically, we can use our room exception on Shawne in a sign and trade along with Walker's expiring deal for Crawford. Due to the 150% rule in trades, It would allow Crawford to get $5.1 million for his first season with 4.5% in annual raises after that.

It just a matter if you guys think Crawford > Williams+Walker.

It boggles my mind how people can turn their noses up at Jamal. He's a full notch and a half better than anyone outside our starting front court.

Toney, Landry, Iman, bibby = back ups!!! Not top 15 players at their positions. Probably not top 30 players at their positions! Jamal is easily top 15, maybe top 10 shooting guard. You can make a case for him ahead of all but five or so shooting guards in the league.

But limited to the Gilbert Arenas clause of the CBA. Fields won't be a free agent concern next year, particularly now that creating cap space isn't an issue at all next year.

I've been wondering why Williams wasn't in any of these rumors -- figured it was not allowed in CBA.

Can you sign and trade 1 guy (Sean) in a trade for another guy (Craw) being sign and traded?
