PJ still has the o-game of a wing player while being 6'11 approaching 7ft. PJ can actually break some1 down & dime it off. I think hes more Lemar Odom/AK47 then he his CB4.

Best way to find this out is during draft workouts. Bring him in with a group of SF.

agreed, I think PJ can be something like a more athletic prime Rashard Lewis, or perhaps a taller Rudy Gay.

^^ His skill set actually really fit in well with the raps. Ino he has 3pt range, don't know how good of a shooter he is tho from out there. He should be an above avg rebounder from the SF spot. Playing the 3 will open up his passing game a lot more too. He can bring SF into the post with Bargs playing high anyway. Let our bigs set a pick for him and he should be able to kill any pf or C from like 15ft and out. So I'm really rooting for this guy. He just gives us more good options to go with.

If we end up winning more games than some people thing we will (and I think we might, given infusion of veterans and a defensive mentality).....I'm great with a lot of the later lottery guys like Kendall Marshall, Kidd- Gilchrist, Quincy Miller. etc.

I like the idea of the tier system Chad Ford has talked about a few times. Where you put players in tiers, and if prospects are in the same tier, then you consider need - But you never take player in a lower tier because of need

My tiers would look like

Jeremy Lamb
Anthony Davis

Jared Sullinger
Perry Jones III
Andre Drummond
Thomas Robinson
John Henson
Terrence Ross
Meyers Leonard

Michael Kidd-Gilchrist
Harrison Barnes
Austin Rivers
Bradley Beal
Quincy Miller
Cody Zeller
Will Barton
Patric Young

I believe our needs go SF, PG, PF, C, SG. So with that in mind I'd go

1. Anthony Davis
2. Jeremy Lamb

3-5: Perry Jones III/Jared Sullinger/Thomas Robinson
6-9: Andre Drummond/John Henson/Meyers Leonard
10. Terrance Ross

11-13: Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, Harrison Barnes, Quincy Miller
It's going to be a glorious day... I feel my luck could change

I was listening to a Chad Ford interview he did in Utah yesterday and he called Quincy Miller super athletic. I've only seen a couple of his games this year, but he seems to have bad quickness which really limits him despite his excellent BBIQ and skill level. Am I wrong or is Chad Ford on some serious stuff?

ACL injury is hampering is quickness (and subsequently probably a bit of psychological fear of going full out). He's far more fluid and deceptive than actually explosive though. It's a wait and see thing with him.

Still, calling him "super athletic" is... :o

Yeah, he might start moving a lot better once his knee heals more, but it was just really odd how Ford seems to think he's super athletic right now. Almost as strange as the Drummond-Amar'e comparison they have on the front page of the ESPN NBA draft site. Thanks.

I've created a sortable spreadsheet tracking most of the prospects in this draft. I split them into guards/wings/bigs (although I realize there is some overlap) and included some of their advanced stats as well. If anyone is interested, the link is here:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/lv? ... full#gid=0

I'll try to update it periodically. Let me know if there's any other prospects, or stat categories you would like me to add and I'll see if I can put them in there as well.

bboyskinnylegs wrote:like the recognition that Wroten is getting, I think with his tools he has the chance to be a special player, it's just a matter of refining his play (most importantly cutting down on turnovers) and getting more opportunities to play lead guard and run the team this year (which is tricky because Gaddy is the incumbent there).

Not surprised. I've been bigging up Wroten from time on this board. Him and Ross look to be HUGE sleepers for me. This draft doesn't look like it's going to be one of the best ever anymore, but there are a few all-stars in here for sure.

If BC can work out a trade that gets us Wroten and Ross that would be amazing lol. It's anyone's guess at this point where we end up in the draft and who we take but there's a possibility we could take someone and trade down in the draft picking up a player + assets. If we could deal Bargs to a team like Milwaukee for a pick and deal Barbosa to a contender, we could be serious players in this draft. Moves like this would accelerate the rebuild greatly and give us some assets and talented players to build with and around.

I know bringing in a lot of rookies isn't what a lot of people or even BC might like but when you think about it, in any ordinary draft, Ross and Wroten are lottery picks. No sense wasting more time rebuilding when you can get the talent you need right now at a relatively cheap cost (if possible).

Just hope BC is looking at these guys.

Kabongo looks very good at getting to the line, he has a 0.93 FTA/FGA.

Texas is playing at 8PM tonight

Yeah, it's looks like the only game worth watching today. I haven't seen him play, but I noticed that he gets to the FT line a ton which is always a good sign.

I'm definetly going to watch it... because I don't want to study.
