people clamoring for Purp are the same people that think that Andy Rautins can produce.

Stop being so loyal to players who dont give a damn about us fans. Lets get Crawford and just win

Heard portland only has 3 million to offer for Crawford.. If thats the case we sure looking good..

With him choosing between SAC, NYK and PDX, Knicks look like they in the lead

there is not a person in this world who believes in andy rautins including andy rautins. and it's not that purp is any good, it's that jamal is really bad and will take more shots and not do anything on the other end.

Here's how I look at it...

Signing Purp means less minutes for jeffries

Signing Crawford means less minutes for Shumpert

i just don't like that trade off.

To win the championship you need a few good guys at one position/the guard positions-- look at Dallas- Barea, Terry, Kidd, Stevenson all played such vital roles in what they did. Deshawn brought in hustle, key defensive stopping, covering Lebron and such. We all know about the spark Barea provided, Miami had no answer him, in beg minutes starting. Kidd was Kidd, and Terry was huge down the stretch towards the end of the series, helping to close it out.

Shumpert, Crawford, Fields, Bibby or Barron can all help to produce a similar story line.

I think Amare injury concern and the fact we still have youth in our back court Big Purp is more valuable!

TD, Fields, Shumpert, Bibby, and Walker are all decent to split the 2 guard positions. Say if we lose amare for anytime are u comfortable with O-FACE STARTING. Purp is a great backup because he can both play 10-20 minutes and be effective and start and be effective. We really need the assurance to give Amare rest during this condensed season that is more important!

Why do you keep ignoring how pitiful our team looked with Melo and/or STAT off the floor? You want to see Toney, Landry, and Shawne play "who can stand the stillest" more? Give me Jamal to at least attempt to shoot. Oye.

I know some of your guys' hate for Jamal runs deep, but damn.

Jamal would be a great signing for 2.5 million...And his benefits would be chance to win a chip and try free agency again next year for a big contract.

yes, if the other choice is watching jamal do his impression of "the professor" from the and1 tour for 20 seconds then throwing up some garbage. yes, let the stand still 3s fly.

Toney
Crawford
Fields or Iman
Melo
Chandler

Could be a solid lineup for stretches too. Chandler gives us alot more options to go small, like the Mavs did with Kidd-Barea-Terry. Seemed to work for them.

Why are we still having this discussion when we are in a good position to have Crawford and Purp?

Any line-up with Chandler is much bigger than a lot of the line-ups we saw last year.

Also Purp MIGHT sign for the minimum... maybe he really want to return to ny but is fronting like he only wants the room exception in hopes that we give it to him. That would be ideal.

6th Man of The Year under Woodson, just a year and a half ago. We get that you dont like the guy, but this comment is basically admitting you have no argument. No one in their right mind would rather have our boys look like pillow pants is going to eat their d*cks if they shoot the ball over a 6th man of the year.

If you cant see the difference between Tyson Chandler in the middle and Jeffries/Shawne/Amare I dont know what to tell you. Melo easily has the size to play some PF, and hes done it many times in the past. Its no use arguing with you two. Its cool.

WOW, Jamal turned down the Pacers.... Either he's forcing Portland's hand or he really can't make his mind-up between Portland & Us. C'mon Jamal come back Home. You ain't seen the Garden buzzing the way you'll see it buzzing this year my man.
