They're lobbying for him, doubt they know something we don't yet.

He'd get around 25-28 MPG from the Knicks. The Blazers really like Wesley Matthews and expect their second year player who was injured his whole rookie year "Elliot Williams" to get some minutes as well. I don't think there's enough minutes to go around on that Trail Blazer team to satisfy Crawford.

The Knicks can sign Crawford and there'd still be enough minutes to go around for Fields and Shumpert because Fields could play the SG/SF spots while Shumpert could play SG/PG.

28 MPG off the bench on a possible contender in the East is pretty good for a soon to be 32 year old who can only score.

Him worrying about his minutes and preaching for more playing time is a red flag right there. More minutes to what chuck up more shots cmon now. He is 32 he should be saying I'm willing to do whatever it takes to win, instead he is on some I want more minutes stuff. Thats the last thing the team needs is someone who is worried about their minutes.

He's not complaining/demanding about his minutes. It's simply a factor in his decision making. He's not going to take less money to sit on the bench when he can get more playing time elsewhere. Basketball players like to PLAY basketball.

Sports is a weird thing. Did anyone, when the Knicks were clearing out cap room to go for a Big 3 expect this forum here to create a thread over 119 pages now, on whether or not Jamal Crawford would return to the Knicks?

I'm sure Melo reached out to Crawford too. Or Amare, or someone. Then again maybe Carmelo and Amare wants Shawne back.

alanhahn Sense I get is @JCrossover wants to choose #Knicks but concerned about taking such a low salary ($2.5M) and despite $ POR/SAC don't compare.

alanhahn The guess here is Crawford will ultimately choose Portland. Higher salary, close to his Seattle home (and family). But heart is in NYC.
