I really hate how Otis Smith cannot give a straight answer to ANYTHING.

Well I may be wrong, but every time I log in and try to catch up on the "newest" news it seems as if Otis is being reported as working a trade to ship Howard. While on the other hand, I see tweets stating that Alex and FO are wanting to mend the relationship, change the culture, and get Dwight his help.

I just want us to start making some moves to get our team better regardless of what happens with Dwight. I would obviously love to have Dwight here forever but if its not going to happen, I would like to start the rebuilding process and get some young prospects and good draft picks to find our next gem.

While on the other hand, I see tweets stating that Alex and FO are wanting to mend the relationship, change the culture, and get Dwight his help.
Otis's plan....the entire FO's plan is to appease Dwight and mend any relationships that have gone through some bumps. Wether that has broken down is the question, if it has then I can understand Alex stepping between them and making decisions. I dont think their intention was to trade him. Otis was doing his job by listening to offers. I see, based on the impressions of Stan, that the players that Otis got are going to improve the team so the effort, as always has been there. Hopefully he can improve his contract managment.

I just want us to start making some moves to get our team better regardless of what happens with Dwight. I would obviously love to have Dwight here forever but if its not going to happen, I would like to start the rebuilding process and get some young prospects and good draft picks to find our next gem.
Thats what every gm would do.

Why the talks really broke down...

Otis: "Siri, should I trade Dwight Howard for Brook Lopez and Gerald Wallace?"

4 1st rounders for Gerald freaking wallace? Wow, no way. Other Blazers had to be in that deal.

Otis had to be hitting the crack pipe pretty hard to even consider that.
