Hopefully he will get a multi year deal offer from someone else.

He will, but will he take it?

i think we are adding cap space

If finding another star (Ellis, Iggy, etc) fails... then I would assume we would make moves to get rid of Duhon, Q, or Hedo's contracts for an expiring.

Personally I think I'd rather do everything we can to get someone like Ellis or Iggy and if we can't acquire them, just try and get Deron. I'm also curious whether or not he would want a trade here? Idk. Crazier things have happened...

I don't think it's a matter of choosing one course of action over another

If we get someone like Ellis and Iggy... Great!... if not... just keep working towards clearing cap for summer '12

Do you think we haven't done a trade like that yet because we're waiting on CP3 to fall through or we just don't have the assets to get it done?

Honestly, the latter unfortunately... BUT... if we could find a third team willing to deal with us, anything is possible

I agree, a third team would help a lot. GSW really that happy with their roster?

Magic trying to smoke out L.A. with Nets trade tease. Lakers didn't bite. Magic want PGasol and ABynum for DHoward. Now what? Wait.

it's not only about making Dwight happy but also setting us up in the position to win a title. Adding Ellis or Iggy does make Dwight happy, but we're fighting Miami/Chicago/NY for tops of East. Give us Paul or Williams and IMO, Orl is #1 in the east (depending roster fillers).

I think it is all about making dwight happy. We have the best chance at a title with him on our team.

I think we just need to give up on trades, especially for Monta. They're clearly not going to happen or we would have heard SOME type of rumor. There has been zero indication that the Magic are even interested in Monta or Iggy. I am just keeping it as my avatar because it's something I've always wanted.

It does seem though that reporters and people involved or around the Magic think he's gone. Even local guys.

I agree. I would love him here, but our offense is a much bigger problem right now. We have no one that you could give the ball to at let him go at it. That's why I would love to throw a mle for 2 years for Crawford. He could be our backup pg/sg and would make jj tradeable.

I don't really see anyway of being able to offer a max deal in the Summer, someone please look closer but just a quick check of Hoopshype salaries with Davis,Jrich, and Wafer included shows us at 68mil. for next year with the cap being at 60mil.,so we are already over the cap by 8mil.,we do have a couple of options, decline JJ and no QO for Anderson would put us about 1.5mil UNDER the cap, thats a long way from a max deal plus letting go of two good role players. There is NO WAY Jameer is opting out of almost 8mil. so getting a max deal seems pretty far fetched, however I do think Gerald Wallace would be a great fit for what we need,he may be had for a piece and pick.I see no way we can get a superstar, but if we could pull off a couple of Wallace type players,we might be in pretty good shape.

I think a big part of that his repeated use of the phrase "right now" when talking to them about his future. While he may have left the door slightly ajar to remain in Orlando, it's quite clear that he is still leaning towards leaving. It's going to take a lot to convince him to stay.

On another note though, Jackson would be good for the team, although, I think J Rich is gonna step his game up a lot this season, along with Hedo, might just be what we need.

It is clear though we do need another player on Dwight's list, according to him there are more than the ones that have just been made public.
