OT: Reggie Williams signed 2yr/$5mil in CHA

Post#1 » by NyCeEvO » Wed Dec 14, 2011 11:09 pm

WojYahooNBA Adrian Wojnarowski
Reggie Williams has agreed to a two-year deal, $5 million deal with Charlotte, a league source tells Y! Sports.

I can't believe that we couldn't come up with something like um iono 2yr/$6mil. C'mon BK, what's up?

Yeah, he would have been another potential asset for this team.

Best bargain of the free agency so far.

It surprises me that BK was not looking into this.

Agree with Jeff, potential asset...

Seems like a lot of smart basketball people are killing that signing, such as Jonathon Givony. I'm not going to act like I've seen him play, so I'll defer to them.

Very reasonable deal... But as I've hinted at before Williams duplicates much of what the Nets already have and MarShon Brooks may be Reggie Williams 2.0 so...

Not really a big deal.

Having 2 Reggie Williams on the team would be nice, one at SG and one at SF. The bigger picture I see here, I rather take Reggie 1.0 than Outlaw 2.0

Reggie Williams???

Did he not play in europe during the lockout?

If it is the same guy he sat on the bench most of the time and couldnt do a thing. Waste of $5million imo

I know nothing of his play overseas this summer, but I can see how Reggie's game would not translate to International ball well at all. He needs the uptempo environment and less physical (eg. no hand-checking) perimeter play of American basketball to be effective. He would have bee a great value signing after GSW renounced his rights, but I'm going to trust our FO once again. They are trying to keep their signings, especially multi-year ones, to an absolute minimum, to keep flexibility for a Dwight trade. Of course, the more Otis Smith notices this, the more he feels he can lord Dwight over us...
