I must say....Dwight is really putting us in a corner by naming the teams he would re-sign with in these trade talks. The Nets have Lopez only and draft picks (which prob wont be great once Dwight goes there). The Mavs have NOBODY. The Lakers have Pau+Bynum and that is it. So essentially he is forcing us to take the crappy Nets offer or deal with the Lakers. Of course the Lakers now know this....and so there isn't much leverage against them (which is why I think we are hyping up the Nets trade talks a bit). At least Dwight can't sign with LA straight up, so that adds a bit of leverage....but honestly it's pretty gross. At least CP3 said he would re-up for at least another year with the Clips...so they were a tradeable partner.

I still believe THIS is by a mile, our best trade, if we can't get Dwight any help and he absolutely says he is gone.....if LA will bite on it, which they might not now that the morons gave up Odom for nothing:

Houston has already shown it wants Pau for Martin, Scola, Dragic + draft pick (don't ask me why...I think that's so stupid....but that was part of the Lakers vetoed trade).

We honestly might be an even better team after this trade, I kid you not.

Meer/Dragic/Hughes
Martin/JJ
JRich/Q/Liggins
Scola/BBD/Ryan
Bynum/Ryan/BBD

That starting lineup is very solid, and the team is extremely deep as well.

Maybe we could flip Ryno for another decent piece....or maybe pckg Meer with him and JJ...maybe get something like a Monta???

On Billups, the Clippers cannot trade him. But they can outright cut him. It would be a huge waste of $2 million but they can do it.

That's there fault, they shouldn't have claimed him knowing CP3 was still possible.

I'm probably the only one that dislikes Howard for Bynum and Gasol. And not just because Dwight is traded. I think that is a bad deal.
