Rudolph made a good point on 740 a little while ago...

"Dwight has a right to be upset, he's busting his butt adding soo much to his game such as shooting, freethrows, footwork, working with Hakeem, supporting the community every chance he gets and really goes out of his way to show the fans love.. and what is the front office doing? Nothing but making bad moves that noone seems to agree with... there is NO reason to put any blame on Dwight.."

I'm more on board with this thought process

I was always against getting Bynum and Gasol for Howard but compared to the Nets offer, that is the deal of the century! I'd like to see Gasol packaged with a combo of Jameer or Anderson or JJ in a 3 or 4 team trade and get back an Iggy or Granger as well as Monta.

Monta, Hughes, Duhon
JRich, Liggins
Granger or Iggy
BBD
Bynum

I'm glad he is, b/c he's getting paid millions of dollars to do HIS JOB. It's not like everybody else on the team is slacking off while Dwight is putting in the extra work.

As is every other NBA player and NBA Exec on million dollar contracts, yet how many of them REALLY go out of their way to this? Half the league came back fat after the lockout while Dwight was giving us an All-Star weekend...

Ugh...I just don't want to see this lineup next year...if Howard walks as a FA

Nelson
JRich
Hedo
BBD
Anderson

And let's face it, if Dwight leaves as a FA, no GOOD players will sign here unless we vastly overpay.

yeah, but that doesn't change the fact he still has to play by CBA & salary cap rules.

and some of that problem has been success, orlando has probably been in the top 5 most successful teams the last 5 years, Miami formed a super team after sucking and tanking, the knicks sucked for 10 years before they got amare/melo, the celtics were in the dumps for several years until they got the big 3...all those teams got good draft picks and stocked up on talent to make moves and went through a terrible stretch...i am no way defending otis, some of his moves have been completely stupid, but we've been a legit team (mostly cause of dwight) for several seasons..dwights an athlete getting paid $20mil a year, he should be busting his butt, otis still needs to go though

Anderson would never and should never start at center.

That's all fine and swell, but we lost to Hawks, not the Knicks, Heat or Celtics... We SWEPT the Hawks the year before...

I totally disagree. Dwight is only relying on his God given talents at this point. He's added a couple things to his game, but I don't see him busting his butt to make the team better. I don't see leadership, I see fun and games and horseplay from him. I want an old school franchise player, Jordan, Isiah, Reggie, Malone, guys that put on the uniform with pride and are loyal to it to the bone. Just like most here, we won't jump to another board because Dwight gets traded. Those that do, good riddance, and that goes for Dwight too if and when he leaves. Its a cop out to say that management didn't put a good enough team around you, when he knows that he holds the power of a franchise player. How is it he couldn't pull one stud from another team his entire time here? Is Otis sabotaging the team on purpose, or is he working with the quality of players that are available to us? The fact is, the best we could have ever hoped for was Shard. Sad, but true.
