We need to make a trade for Josh Smith, Gerald Wallace, Al Jefferson, Okur or Antwan Jameson. All those contracts would be an expiring one next year, so they would be easy to move if necessary. All those players I believe are easily attainable. Use a pick and cap for one of those players.

We can't just sit around, it would send the wrong message to our team, Dwill, and the rest of the league that we are not really serious.

We should look to get rid of our picks, they could be worth much less later in the season. Houston pick can be protected this year if they make the playoffs and our pick will be around 20 with a healthy Dwill and Lopez.

There is nobody left in FA that is worth anything. I'm glad we didn't sign Nene or Chandler though, they got too much money. they got almost as much as LBJ.

No, we don't.

BK is the master of multi-team trades.
All of those teams would want players back and Jamison is too old to have any value.

You guys really think Hump is going to sign a 1 year deal after playing the best season of his career. There are other teams out there that will offer him multiple years. There are still a lot of teams under the cap.

If we look to fill out our roster through FA, we are going to have to overpay people. No one is going to take a short contract to play for us, being that we are not contenders this year and the uncertainty of our lineup. If a FA signs with us, they know there is a great possibility that they will be traded right before the deadline to ORL who will be in rebuilding mode.

If you are a FA right now, the only reason you would sign with Jersey is if they paid more than the other teams out there. Putting all our eggs in the Howard basket, is probably going to make us sign some questionable FA deals this year.

And no one is going to want Outlaw, Petro or Farmar. I think we are going to have to be mediocre this year, if we really want Howard. I guess I can take that, but we have been bad/mediocre for a while. It's starting to wear thin. And if he doesn't eventually play for us, I don't even want to think about it.

Reports are that Hump would take a 1yr/$9mil. We're not making it up, just reporting facts.
