Could have said the same thing last summer. The Bulls were the best place for Lebron to go; same with Wade. had they come to Chicago, I'm not sure we'd have lost 10 games. Baically, subtract Boozer, Korver, Watson and Brewer and replace them with Wade and Lebron.

If only Dwight would agree to a 1 year extension a la Paul. Then we could trade with a lot more security knowing we get 2 full seasons.

and there it is.

I don't even know what that means.

I think Simmons basically did write the same thing last summer about Lebron & Chicago.

3. If he cares about winning titles (multiple) and reaching his full potential as a player, he has only one move: the Chicago Bulls.

It's not just Howard that Chicago is the obvious partner for. It's Orlando, too.

The Bulls can meet the "Paul Price" for Dwight.

Paul got 1 high lotto pick, 1 young high level player (near all-star), 1 young solid player, and a guy to take up cap room.

Dwight is a better player than Paul, but the Bulls can make a better offer.

The Bobcats pick isn't quite as good as the Minnesota pick (due to timing), but is still valuable.
Joakim Noah is locked in to a contract, young, and a big, as opposed to a SG - comparable in value to Eric Gordon.
Taj Gibson is more proven, though of a similar talent level, to El-Aminu. And also Big-vs.-Small
Deng far outclasses Kaman in terms of what you are adding.

Throw in Bogans' non-guaranteed contract, and the Bulls can take back cap-room in the form of Hedo. Throw in a Bulls 1st next year, and that's a damn good package. Heck, you could throw in a Watson for Duhon swap (save Orlando one year of contract), too.

Bulls are left with:

pg: Rose/Watson (or Duhon)
sg: Rip/J.Butler
sf: Brewer/Korver
pf: Boozer / ??? (get someone for the LLE)
cc: Howard / Asik

Not frackin' bad!

Simmons is a huge Derrick Rose fan, he also likes Noah and Deng quite a bit, and for obvious reasons he loves Thibs.

He's beeen talking the Bulls up for a while now, it's hard to really argue with him, but for whatever reason players just don't see it that way.

McGrady, Duncan, LBJ, Wade, Bosh, etc.

The best we can do is Washed up Wallace and perpetually injured Boozer.

It's definitely the most logical choice, however few players think according to logic.

The second "win" should be italicized. The point is that Dwight will be on a winning team no matter what, simply due to his impact on games. But to win championships, he's going to need some help. He gets the most help here.

Dwight Howard will retire without ever having won an NBA championship.

Derrick Rose, on the other hand.....he'll have a few. When it's all said and done, we know who'll have the bigger legacy.

I look forward to pounding Orlando's brains in this year.

Give me a break from all the homerism. Sheesh. Dwight so far has gotten the Magic to the finals with a mediocre help. Rose has not. Don't talk until Rose has done the same.

In his third year, brah.
