But really, I want the D12 stays scenario.

same here lol I'm down for any plan to keep Dwight here (find him help, clear cap, etc.)... but if worst comes to worst and Dwight admittedly (from his mouth) says trade me to LAL or NJ... just ship him off to some team where he's not going to re-sign an extension with... I'm sure there are some dumb GMs willing to take a chance on him (rental)... get the best value back in return imo

or just call his bluff and see if he's willing to take less money by walking... either way... I'm still a Magic fan

I'd rather have Bynum and Gasol than Lopez and two 1st round picks.

I keep feeling that they're going to wait until the deadline to try and get the best deal possible if they cant convince him to stay. He should have the decency by then to tell them what he's going to do.

I bet you one thing, if David Stern ran the Magic, he wouldn't allow Dwight to be traded for NJ's garbage.

Make a trade to bring someone in and battle for the year. Force him to pick between money and freedom. DO NOT GIVE HIM BOTH. This part of the CBA is there to be used as leverage when trying to keep your own FAs.

Stern: It is our belief, Dell, Jac, Hugh, that transaction we have tonight is a very good transaction, better than one I did not sign off on.

+1,

You have to weigh your options. One thing to keep in mind is that you can flip Bynum and Gasol for young players/ picks.

You take Gasol and Bynum for value. I take them then start a firesale of our players trading to the highest bidders that return cap friendly deals and potential high picks.

Having both would not help us. Gasol could be shipped to GSW for Monta and a couple other players.
