We need a potential star + 2 first round picks in next years draft. Those picks plus our potential lottery pick would be a good place to start building. Problem is otis continues to add 4 year deals to older players (jrich).

Now if otis's plan is to truly wait up until the trade deadline and change his mind then he better be looking to make moves right now. That ship might have sailed last year though.

I will say this: I believe that Dwight Howard wants a trade. And I believe he will be traded eventually.

**** him. GO MAGIC!

In all fairness, Josh has been saying this for a while now. Don't think it is a reflection of any new developments.

oh I know. I my negativity was aimed at Dwight.

if only we drafted danny granger and not fran vasquez like i hoped in 2005...

we would have never had to overpay for rashard lewis, and this WHOLE fiasco could have been avoided

You missed the whole fiasco lol?

Dwight's agent "supposedly" went to Amway today and demanded Dwight get's traded..two "sources" have confirmed Dwight wants out..

Yeah, supposedly. RealGM wiretap is a hoax. They quoted Woj at the second sentence, fabricated the first and gave the impression that both are reported by Woj. In fact, the part where Dwight supposedly "warned" the organization is fabricated and it is unknown who "reported" that. Despicable.

IF you guys get like this for this crap, you are playing into their hands. Everybody should calm down and keep it together.

Unless the LBJ fade is just too damn appealing to Dwight and he needs that super star companion, in which case he'll go where ever another superstar is for less money. Even what NOH or Denver got isn't really a solid replacement, as Gordon will never be a franchise player to build around and it is much more probable than not that the Minny pick won't net one either. Denver is in an even worse situation as they are too good for their own good but not good enough to win it all. So their rebuild is suspended for YEARS. I don't want that for Orlando. Go all in for a Dwight centric team and if he leaves he leaves and we blow it up and rebuild. Now really NOH had to trade Chris Paul cause they flat out sucked; they weren't going to contend with their talent and CP3 wasn't going to stick around for a rebuilding project. Orlando though, well we aren't there. Yes we lost to Atlanta in the first round but that isn't indicative of what an Otis/SVG product built around Dwight does. And really we barely freaking lost that craptastic series. I also know that Cleveland had a very, very good team too and LBJ just left them in the dust, so it is possible that Orlando is in the exact same predicament as Cleveland and will lose Dwight regardless. Grrrrr

lets go all in this year and see what we can win

I share your sentiments and I really hope that Orlando stands firm and does whatever they can to convince him to stick around.

Is it safe to start saying that Dwight Howard's days in Orlando are coming to an end?

I'm kind of flabbergasted by this. I would think he would man up, but all these new generation superstars aren't what we thought they were. Exception of Wade (arguable) and I guess Rose (again arguable.) Whatever man, I have a Howard jersey, guess I'll be asking for a Nelson one for Christmas. Just hope Nelson doesn't end up outside of Orlando..

Now I could be completely wrong, but I believe Reverse is being sarcastic because you really should not believe everything that you read on the internet.

Just like people can choose to believe the tweets from Wojo, etc., I choose to be different and not believe a word of that whatsoever. Doesn't bother me if people think I'm in denial because I'm a Magic fan regardless if Dwight is here or not. However until otherwise, Dwight is with the Magic and we will need him at his best if we are looking to contend this year. In a strange way, I'm getting even more excited since people are looking down on us again and think that Dwight is as good as gone. Well I'm going against the grain and believe the Magic are going to be surprising some people this season.

When interviewed today, Dwight was asked "so you said you wanted to culture/fans to change - what can the fans do to assist with that?" - a fair question if you are going to make a statement like that.....shouldn't he WANT us to know what to change (if not, how the hell are we supposed to change then?). He just did his usual response of "I dont wanna talk about that!". Genius, Dwight. Maybe that's what he did with the FO too -

Dwight: "I want some changes, I want other people brought in!" .
FO: "OK Dwight, who do you want?"
Dwight: "I'm not gonna telllllllllll youuuuuuuuuuuuu"

Gimme a break.

I also like the "nobody will ever understand what we have to go through as players, it's tough"....blah blah blah. You get to play a GAME for a living, that people LOVE to play, that everybody WISHED they could play at that level, AND get paid $100s of millions to do it....and get everything handed on a platter to you, have a bunch of suckup adoring fans/employees. And every now and then you have to have somebody call you out on Twitter or get asked some questions by the media? Oh BOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. How awful of a life...

This mentality is SO hypocritical. By that logic, why can't we "change" our feelings about Dwight? Why is it so OK for them to want to do what's "best for them", but we can't do what's "best for us" and be annoyed about somebody crippling our franchise? I mean, cmon....we are MAGIC fans, first and foremost. Not Dwight fans, not Shaq fans, not C-Lee fans, etc etc. If he essentially abandons the team and forces his way out, why WOULDN'T we be mad at him for doing it like that?
