Your best trade is to Chicago for the Charlotte pick. If you can't get that I wouldn't trade him at all. Let him walk. If he becomes disruptive or doesn't give effort then suspend him without pay. Why take on scraps just to be mediocre. Your better off dropping the salary and reloading through the draft. If you can't get quality picks the who cares if you lose him for nothing.

I like this deal, but wish Bynum goes somewhere and we can get a SF for him (Iggy). I dont want an injury-phrone in our team. And please send Duhon and Hedo is this deal.

Gasol/Orton
Bass/Ryno
SF traded for Bynun/QRich
Jrich/Redick/Wafer
Jameer/FA

Then we could sign a backup PG (Alston?). We wont win a NBA title with this team, but we have to face, we never will won a NBA title anyway without D12, so lets be happy about having a good team and making the playoffs.

Bass hasn't been a part of this team for almost a week now. He was traded to Boston for Glen Davis and Von Wafer came on board with him

So let's say we trade Dwight this season. Who thinks he gets his jersey retired here? I think there will be too many bad feelings with how it ended.

No. If Nick Anderson hasn't had his jersey up there yet, then Dwight won't.

Yeah, i think no one will have a jersey retired here. If they had plans for Nick, Armstrong, Penny or Bo they would already retired it or even didnt allow others players to use the same number. Maybe our 1st retired jersey will be Jameer?

I don't disagree that he wont get it retired, but Dwight has done worlds more for this franchise than Nick. Not to mention achievements. 5 time all star, 5 all nba teams (1st team 4 times), 3 time DPOTY, led us to the finals.

I don't think Jameer has been good enough. I think it takes more than just loyalty and being a fan favorite to get a jersey retired.

Everyone that has been worthy left too early (Shaq, Penny, T-Mac, Dwight) or injury stopped them (Penny, Hill).

True that, but I have this feeling that if Dwight is pushing for a trade on a sour note, being two-faced in the media, saying one thing to the FO ("Get me out of here or else..") but playing the good-guy card to the fans/city ("There is no place I want to be more but here"), yet somehow people sense he isn't being genuine about it, then I think he will never have 12 retired here.

Yes, even LeBron was better than him in this aspect, cuz at least he showed what he wanted and didnt want to look like a good guy.

The same reason why Dwight wants to leave, superteams, is the same reason why he will never win a championship, there are better teams out there.

Also, if he really cared about the team and the city, all this could have been done in quiet with him denying all the trade claims. Way to weaken our position in trades, such a fool.

I don't want to trade Dwight but one idea now that Chris Paul is on the Clippers is to trade Dwight+Hedo for Blake Griffin and then that might mean we have max cap room to go after Deron Williams

Why not? .. maybe they would balk at Hedo and we could insert Jameer instead ... Point being Dwight is the best Center in the world and he is seemingly indestructible .. Blake already has missed half of his NBA career due to injury and last year shot 50% while Dwight shot like 60% the last 5 years

Its Dwight flipping Howard. Howard is a HOF. Blake just finished his first year. They should at least consider it

Blake is younger, doesnt demand a big contract right now and is under contract.

They dont need Hedo's big contract or even Jameer's (they have CP3, Billups and Bledsoe at PG).

No way they trade Blake for D12+Hedo.

ah, the bipolar roller coaster that is being a Magic fan. I have been a magic fan since I moved here about 15 years ago. I have been a Dwight fan since we drafted him, even got in arguments with other fans who kept saying that we should take Okafor.

This sucks being a dwight fan and a magic fan, this really sucks. I have been trying to hang on to the hope that he may stay so I can continue to root for him and my team.

It's tough to believe that this is how he his handling it. Which makes me think that alot of this is just rumors. For one it just looks so bad and is hurting his image so much worse if than if he just clearly said I am unhappy with the management and there is nothing that can be done to change my mind.

Also if this is the route he is going then he must not be that bright. If he really wanted to be traded the would be trying to make it so the magic can get the most they can for him and be willing to trade him. By leaking his teams of choice, all the wishy washy **** etc he killed the value of what teams will offer for him.

At this point it has to be what is best for the magic. Taking garbage for him that just makes us a 500 team is pointless. As far as tanking goes, I don't think SVG is capable of it.

I said it before and I will say it again, we need to get young talent who still have time on their rookie contract, unlike lopez, and draft picks for this years loaded draft. If we can't do that we need to get a superstar back or two second tier stars.

If none of that is possible just let him walk and let us fans feel better than you tired, put the blame on howard for tying you hands and settle in for 5 years of sucking and hope to hit the lottery again in the draft.
Gotta love Loyalty! Go Magic!

Rich Devos is 85 yrs young, he wants to win a title before he moves on! Why would he pay Gilbert $62 million to walk away, if he didn't believe we could win this year. IMO, Dwight needs to put on his CP3 hat and start demanding things in Orlando aka get DWill in blue and white campaign going on or else! (He pretty much laid everything else on the line to Magic managment). If he won't do that I really believe he wants a new change of scenery. Btw, if we had to trade D12/Hedo I want to trade him for D.Jordan/Mo Williams. Clippers can win right now<D12/Griffin/CP3 8-)
