@DwightHoward said nothing has changed as far as his trade request. He talked to O.Smith on Thurs, said conversation will remain private.

Portland had the choice to let Roy take a medical retirement, or use amnesty on him. Roy is leaving the game with knee problems.

The Blazers have decided to use the amnesty clause on Brandon Roy, league sources told Y! Sports.

Like I been saying he wants out.Basically he's waiting on Otis to find a good deal before the deadline.

It makes sense from a value perspective. If you think of what the nets could offer it's not much. they basically sold their soul to get Deron and only have Marshon Brooks, and Lopez and low first round picks to offer for Dwight. They could try to bring in a second or third team, but what would they offer them? Dallas is even worse and has NOTHING we would want in a trade. So that leaves the Lakers. If they offer both Pau and Bynum, plus picks as well as taking a couple of bad contracts that's the move we have to make. There are teams out there willing to give a small fortune to get Gasol, so we could always flip him for another all-star wing player, or point guard. It's our best bet to be honest. the only other option i can think of is OKC, but i don't think Dwight would want to go there. I think he feels threatened by Durant.

I don't like the Nets deal either.... But the Nets have more leverage at this point....

I'd actually take Lopez, Humphries, and a mountain of 1st rounders over Gasol (30 something year old PF/C)/Bynum (bad knees, horrific defender).

Howard isn't winning anything in New Jersey with just Williams. Also it seems to me he just doesn't want to be in Orlando so ship him out, get some young players and 1st rounders to rebuild.

Dwight Howard: "Right now, me and Otis (Smith) are going to continue to try and make this team better," but didn't say trade demand was off.

So they're talking again. good to know Dwight.

If you want to see how much Turk's game has changed since his '08 campaign here are some interesting stats. Right now looking at our roster our big minute guys are going to be Dwight, Turk, and JRich, with Nelson probably hovering around his 30 mpg mark per norm (btw, getting playoff Nelson all regular season would be tremendous, which is around 33-34 mpg). Looking at the below stats you can clearly see that Hedo is no longer a scorer and much more a facilitator. A damn good one too.

'08 Turk averaged 36.9 mpg
'11 Turk averaged 34.1 mpg

'08 Turk shot 14.9 FGA per game
'11 Turk shot 9.4 FGA per game

'08 Turk shot 45.6% FG
'11 Turk shot 44.8% FG

'08 Turk shot 4.8 FTA per game
'11 Turk shot 2.1 FTA per game

'08 Turk made 5 AST per game
'11 Turk made 5.1 AST per game

'08 Turk made 3 TO per game
'11 Turk made 1.8 AST per game

'08 Turk shot 4.7 FGA at the rim
'11 Turk shot 1.5 FGA at the rim

the only way the nets trade make sense is if we get a 3rd team involved...they would need to ship morrow out as well to someone else

now with the earl signing its begining to look like it goin to harder and harder to clear space for next offeason to go after dwill... if that is the route we are choosing we need to find takers for qrich, duhon and clark before the end of the season...

Medical insurance probably would cover his contract.

IIRC, don't think his contract was insured because the knee problems were pre-existing and so severe.

80% was covered by insurance.

Although Alex Martins is so sure that Dwight is staying that he to Earl that in the event D12 does leave, Earl can have the final year of Dwight's contract.

if we make conference finals and lose in 6 or 7, does Dwight stay? Maybe not extend but he opts into his final year.
