For some reason when I see your avatar I always do a double-take and ask myself, is that the black Drake?

Re: Random Thoughts Thread II
You know what's hilarious? Fans (and Magic fans) especially posting how the Hornets took the Clippers to the cleaners in their deal to trade Chris Paul in exchange for Eric Gordon, Chris Kaman, Al-aminu, and Minny's 2012 pick. Now, don't get me wrong, it's a good haul, especially compared to what was previously offered to them. But...
Eric Gordon = Brook Lopez
Kaman expiring < Hedo contract absorb
Aminu = Rockets pick + Nets pick
So basically, the sole and main big difference between the two deals? Minny's 2012 pick. Granted, this pick could very well be a jackpot pick (and given how the NBA works, we might see another *ahem* Patrick Ewing scenario to help the Hornets more "appealing" for purchase)...but that's not a guarantee. As bad as that team was last year...they were #1 in the NBA in rebounding, and #10 in scoring. They're two main deficiencies are passing and defense...both categories likely to be helped by the arrival of Rubio.
Not to mention, this team is STACKED with young talent, with Beasley, Love, and Randolph heading to their 4th year, and Johnson his 2nd year. This, and adding Rubio + Derrick Williams...and I would not be surprised if they make a bigger jump than most would expect.
Talent wise, they have more than the Hornets for sure. Is Denver that much more talented than them? How about Warriors? Rockets (though Rockets seems to play better as a sum of their parts)? Kings? Jazz? Suns with Nash another year older?
But for some reason, the Hornets got GOLD for Paul, while our offer of Lopez, absorbing Hedo and Duhon, + FIVE first round picks is considered trash?

I live in Los Angeles and listen to ESPN LA radio on my way to and home from work. They were saying how D12 wanting to be a Net is a total PR move and the only team he wants to be apart of is the Lakers.
Another person said if the Magic want Brook Lopez from New Jersey, the Lakers can trade the Nets Bynum for Lopez and send Lopez to Orlando netting the Lakers Howard! IT ALL MAKES SENSE WHEN YOU THINK ABOUT IT!

Didn't factor him in, because if he's in, then the 1st round picks are probably split between the two teams. But if you look at it from that multi-team angle, than Crash = Kaman. Orlando won't get the 1sts though since that will be used for Crash.

They're not being that serious.
They're just making light of the fact that the Broncos have been winning and they're play the Patriots this week.
