Well, I can see the T'Wolves wanting Gasol for veteran leadership and obviously his talent level. Who do the young guys go to for advice? Brad Miller? Milicic? Gasol would do wonders with that team. I think it would make them an instant playoff contender.

But yeah, no way they give up that much in return.

Yeah I don't think they'd give up both Love and Williams, maybe a deal with Love as the centerpiece if a deal is ever to be agreed upon. But giving up Williams too is just overpaying, and I'm not sure what filler could be added to make it an agreeable trade for Minnesota.

It was just a rumor that was out there.

T-Wolves Trade:

T-Wolves Get:
Pau Gasol

T-Wolves get Gasol without giving up both Love and Williams. Magic get a great deal in return for Dwight allowing them to stay competitive while they rebuild. They also get rid of Turkoglu's contract. We get the best center in the league in Howard and a young athletic PF in Williams to extend Kobe's championship window. We also get a versatile forward in Turkoglu that can replace some of the qualities Odom gave us. We also still have the TPE that we could use to improve the PG position if need be.

hopps_32 .... solid trade man, very nice.

I'd be concerned we aren't getting back a true PF but honestly if we are building for the future, this is a no-brainer as Derrick Williams is a bad man ... a cheap, young bad man.

Well, I think right now, Mitch is waiting on what will happen with Dwight Howard, before he can do anything. I like the suggestions that previous posters had in improving our squad with the team that we have, but I guess Mitch is saving all the eggs in his basket for Howard, so most likely stand pat until, Howard's destination comes to fruition. I hope Howard gets traded pretty soon, either way, so we know what must be done with or without Howard

Let's not forget Bynum was being trained by Freddy Roach who trains Manny Pacquiao... so one solid punch from Bynum and Beasley will be 1, 2 ,3 ,4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10... your out! KNOCKOUT! LOL!

No link, but dudes on the Wolves board said Bucher is reporting that the offer is in fact both Williams and Love for Gasol.

Kahn isn't really the brightest Gm, and when he likes a player he kinda goes all out for him regardless of logic...look at the whole pg issue...multiple times (drafting Rubio, then Flynn, then Rubio finally comes, and he signs Barea) but some of their fans think that with a possibility of K-Love leaving then it would be a good trade. Kind of suprising how some of them liked the idea.

Derrick Williams AND Kevin Love for Pau? :o What a way to redeem yourself Mitch...if you can actually pull it off.

wow, Williams and Love for Gasol would be a steal no doubt. I can't see any "BASKETBALL REASONS" or "LEGAL REASONS" that will block that.

if Rubio does really want to play with Pau and Barea and Flynn perform better than Rubio, are you willing to give up Morris for Rubio? for whatever reason?
