Still hasn't been sign maybe he wants to much money, say otis agrees for us to pay him that money or close to it, but he's signed n traded to us with a lower salaried player for say jj n the tpe, seperate trades of course maybe even throw ryno in the deal

My issue is that we have to get a better player than Brook Lopez back in any trade and the Nets just don't have the pieces. A trade with La would do wonders cause a playoff team would give up a talented piece to add Gasol. I'm sure the GSW would give up Monta if they could add Bynum or Paul, and the Timberwolves would probably give up some young talent as well. Maybe a Beasley and Randolph for Gasol. A trio of Bynum, Randolph and Beasly is a good way to star a rebuild. The point is that Brook isn't bad, but what other good player could the Nets add to get Dwight? I just don't see it.

Nick Young wants 9 million per. I think Washington would do a sign and trade for him because they don't seem too willing to pay him. The TPE wouldn't interest the Wizards though, they do not have a bad contract on their books other then Lewis. Plus they need to do something to get close to the minimum salary cap requirement. I think they might bite at a JJ Ryno deal. You can start Young and bring J Rich off the bench. Problem is, if Orlando really is trying to preserve cap space for the summer that trade kills it.

NO to Young..he isn't an upgrade at that position especially at the cost of Anderson.

JJ and Anderson should only be sent for Monta, Iggy, Granger etc.

I made the mistake of going to youtbe and looking at game clips Westbrook, Monta, and Baron Davis and now i'm depressed. As much as i'm not an Otis hater the biggest indictment on him as a GM is not bringing in a dynamic young guard to be the teams second option. The way i see those guys taking defenders off the dribble and finish strong at the basket is something that i haven't seen on this team since Steve Francis. No wonder Von Wafer and Liggins looked so good today. We've been stuck looking at Jameer, Hedo and JJ chucking it from the perimeter, so when a journey man and a rookie attack the basket they look like freaking Lebron and Wade out there :nonono:

The New Jersey trade will look a lot better around the deadline, when the Nets are one of the worst records in the league. Honestly though, I still don't want to trade Dwight.

Jesus get over those players! Our assets are not good enough nor do those teams want to part with their guys. Young/Stephen Jackson are probably the best players those guys can fetch. And explain how a 23 year old athletic 2 who can create his own shot and score 20 a game not an upgrade? Do tell....

I never said we WERE getting those players but to give up Anderson for Young when we already have JRich? Not worth it to me. I just don't see him as ENOUGH of an upgrade at the 2. IMO. He is not going to put us over the top or convince Dwight to stay, not that anything is going to. Plus, he wants $9 million? YIKES. definitely no thanks.

Monta, Iggy, Granger would not put Orlando over the top either. I hate to say it but barring an injury the next couple rings belong to the Heat.

I hate to say it but you are probably right, unfortunately, which is why Dwight won't win in NJ either.

Over JJ, yes. If we are talking signing Young for 4 years/ $24 million and swapping him for JJ, sign me up. But not at the money he wants.

Beg to disagree. I think we are missing one piece to the puzzle and that's a dynamic guard who can break down the defense and make plays for himself and others. If we get that with Dwight down low we are one of the favorites to win it all.

That Heat roster is just nasty. I think Orlando with that dynamic wing can make it an interesting 6-7 game series, but the more those superstars gel in Miami the more unstoppable they become.
