No really, they scared now. The cliche of just bashing the Knicks have faded and we really have entered a new day in Knicks basketball. All the old jokes of bashing the Knicks don't fly anymore, the best anyone can do anymore is lol knicks. I mean really, that's the rhetoric that your going to come at us with? It's one thing to have a legitimate conversation or debate, but hell that's hard as hell to find. For example the General Board is now facing an epidemic in which it has never seen before in RealGM history, a good Knicks team.

What people really don't expect to happen is that the collective consciousness of the Knicks fan base is going to start spreading out. We have already seen a ton of new Knick fans come out over the past year, well it's only getting bigger every passing day. The days of little immature kids praising Stephon Marbury as the savior or the hyping of guys like Channing Frye are essentially dead. Now don't get me wrong, we still love our rookies as much as the next team does, but we really don't have to pin our hopes anymore.

Now only from this point out, the Knicks are going to have a legitimate team, but hell we're going to be a good team. I mean it's quite obvious, no matter how you really look at it. While it's been crappy to be the laughing stock of the league for quite some time, those days are over. The Knicks and the Garden are back and it's really going to take people some getting used to because it's been so damn long. Now from here on out what your going to be experiencing is some of these immature fans try to spew the same ole rhetoric, but don't feed into that crap. We have premature fans like every other franchise, don't feed into the nonsense. Lets stay somewhat humble because lets face it, we love proving people wrong.

So lets just enjoy this ride because the good times are finally here, most of us have waited to damn long for this day to come back. When you do go General Board posting, lets show them intelligence does reside in this forum. Now lets go get a damn snack, because we're all back in a NY state of mind.

Yea no need to try and argue with some of those dudes on the GB. We're just fans so let the team talk. I know sometimes we get the urge to defend, but its really just pointless.

Ive been on this site for almost 8 years. Started when I was like 16. The Knicks have always been kind of the lovable losers to me. Id get a few beers and blaze up just to laugh at the team with my friends. The Knicks have been pure comedy for a decade now, depending how you look at it. Last time Knicks were good I was in middle school. Those H2O/Spree/Camby teams will always be etched in my mind. But now we have a team that puts that to shame, on paper at least. If these guys even show 3/4 of the heart the Knicks teams of old showed, we should be in for a fun season.

We went from:

23 Wins - 07-08

Marbury / Nate
Crawford
Q
Randolph / Lee
Curry

to

Baron / TD
Fields / Shump
Melo
Amare
Tyson

So yea. Be happy.

NY State Of Mind baby!

Madison Square Garden a.k.a the worlds most famous arena will rock like never before. The chants of defense, defense, defense has returned!

This Knicks team will capture the hearts of Manhattan ala the heart of New York City.

The general board will never show the respect (or fear) they now have for our Knicks team being led by two top 5-10 NBA stars in Carmelo and Amare. Two huge offseason upgrades in a pure PG in Baron Davis along with one of the best defensive/rebounding Centers around in Tyson Chandler. Young up and coming talents in TD23, Landry Fields and Iman Shumpert. High energy guys off the bench in Jared Jeffries and Ronaldo Balkman. Along with a 3 point shooter in Bibby who goes for the kill.

NBA fans hated us when we had Harper, Starks, Charles Smith, Oakley, Ewing, Mason as our 6th man off the bench, Herb Williams etc, etc and they'll now hate us at an all-time high.

And I'll love each and every moment of it.

It's not worth posting in the general board, it's a hive mind with more biased opinions than team fan boards here.

Yeah while I do post on the general board, I simply can't help it sometimes.

It really is amazing how much of a "follower's mentality" they have there.

Gotta give Grunwald his props.

He built a team, a near complete one, and he seems to check in on his advisor Donnie Walsh.

He also got the nod from his players in this as well.

And it's a good mix as well.

2 stars, defensive anchor, vet pg's, youth on the bench.

I'm impressed.

The general board is full of people who think they know everything about every team but really they know the least and live by preconceptions and limited knowledge on most teams. They are the people who think they are right and will stick to anything they say.

Needless to say, they are the type of people that are best to be avoided.
