Agreed, and this would be so freaking awesome if the Pacers could get Gordon for Granger.

Should be noted I think, Granger is from New Orleans. And Gordon just happens to be from Indianapolis.

Exactly, good point. That way both of them will not get mad of being traded.

I just wanted to point out that it's incredibly risky for a player on a rookie deal to reject an extension, play for a year under the qualifying offer, and become a UFA. Right now, he's got his rookie scale money, but a player like Gordon will be offered $40-60 mil on his next guaranteed contract. If he tries the UFA route, he has to risk going a full year without injury, and no deal in place.

Players generally get some leverage when they approach their second free agency deal, after they have some big money in the bank. Ben Gordon did it, but almost every top rookie always signs the extension.

Is he really unhappy?

I know Pacer fans were pretty convinced Gordon could be happy in Indy when they had an even worse team, so I'd be pretty surprised if he already voiced negative feelings towards NO. NO seems like a city he could fall in love with from what Pacer fans have shared about Gordon the last few years.

Regardless, I'd love to see the Pacers make a serious push for him. Would be great to see him and George grow together.

I'd offer collison and west for him and okafor (they still have okafor right?).

Does he look happy?

He didn't sound too excited about it on Twitter when the story broke.

I think if the Pacers offered their 2012 draft pick and a subsequent talent, or a second first round pick in 2014, how can New Orleans say no.

With Paul and West gone they are truly now a rebuilding team and depending on the results of their season and Minnesota's/LA Clippers will have two draft choices in the lottery already.

Meaning depending on who comes out they will have easy pickens of Harrison Barnes, Jared Sullinger, Perry Jones, Terrance Jones, Jeremy Lamb, etc.

The 2012 class is quickly becoming a deep class and they could make it a trifecta if they can secure even more picks for the talent they are currently carrying, like Eric Gordon.

How can they say no? Because Eric Gordon is easily better, and still young enough to compare, with any 2 first round picks we can offer them.

It's really quite silly. Unless we're willing to offer up Paul George, Darren Collison, Roy Hibbert, AND picks, etc, there's just not a whole lot they should really be interested in. We'll likely have to attack Gordon in free agency, and HOPE he can't come to an agreement with the Hornets and sign a QO instead.
