If Granger/Iggy/Martin weren't options because of contract, why would we be willing to throw even more assets at the Lakers to get a guy who wouldn't be as big of of an upgrade difference and makes twice as much as one of the previously mentioned 3? I don't get how they can delude themselves into thinking this is reasonable because it might make Rube happy

The logical ones think it's ridiculous. There are some head shakers that are laboring under the "Kahn is a terrible GM, so of course this trade could happen" argument.

Nah, these boys are enough and we don't need anymore. Lets play this season with the current roster. Forget Pau, Fernandez, Gay, Gordon, bla bla bla. Let save our best cards, money and assets for the next season.
