I haven't posted much, but I'm surprisingly not that upset. 19-0 would have been fun, but ultimately I just want to win the Superb Owl again and I think it will serve us well to get healthy for the playoffs. Let's rest up.

I haven't read much of the game thread or anything, but I just bookended the winning streak. I was at today's game and I was in Boston last season.

Also, relatively drunk, walking out of the game I started many conversations with their fans (they were mostly nice) about:

1. How **** they were that Romeo Crennell is going to get a 10 year extension.
2. I don't care about the rest of the season, I just care about Tebow.

And all of their fans thought I was being a bitter bitch. I really didn't care much about the loss at all other than the fact that I took my time to go down there.

On that note, you guys know how much I don't like Tebow and Tebowmania. That said, I bought in and 'Tebowled' on Friday. Work outing, we went bowling, and I went from bowling straight into a Tebow. It was pretty awesome.

My group of friends here road tripped to Dallas last year, and the groundwork is already laid for Indy.

I won't be going into the game. I also was at the Dallas game last year, if that helps anything. I also think I was like 15-4 or something in Packer games lifetime before these last 2. Just a random guess. I went to a ton at County Stadium in the early Favre days and I don't know if we ever lost when I went.

If we have to somehow, someway go on the road, then I'd prefer New Orleans and their dome.

That's not a physical possibility at this point, as we've locked up the tiebreaker over them, but I'll be the first to say absolutely, positively not.

You'd rather play on the road against a team that can easily score 45+ on us just so we can get our offense in a dome?

We're obviously better in a dome. But where you're playing (road vs. neutral) and who you're playing matter. If we're facing NO, then I want them in GB, period. Yes, on the opening week they played well there, but overall for the season, they have been far worse on the road than at home. Since SF isn't a dome and it will be likely windy as hell there, also rather face them in GB.

Either way, regarding SF vs. Pitt tonight, don't really care what happens. SF loses, we lock up HFA throughout. SF wins, they still have the inside track on the #2 seed, which gives NO one more chance to lose before facing us.

Guys, home-field is a good thing.

For those saying we wouldn't really need home field advantage, you're only looking at it from our perspective. The OTHER team playing in Lambeau would obviously play better at home than they would on the road.

I've looked at it that way, but if the Packers' offense plays to their potential I believe nobody can beat them. So creating the conditions to make that happen should be the #1 desire.

But with that in mind, San Francisco poses potential problems because of the wind at Candelstick, and doing a little research all the real disaster games from Rodgers over the years have come on the road, i.e.: 2011 KC, 2010 NYJ, 2010 Phi, 2010 Wash, 2010 @ Chi - playoffs, 2008 @ TB, 2008 @ NO, 2008 @ Minn, 2008 @ Tenn, 2009 @ TB. Rodgers has posted a sub 80 QB rating 10 times in his career as a starter, AND ALL OF THEM CAME ON THE ROAD.

So that's the best reason to want to secure homefield. Let's get it done this week and then protect the starters against the dirty Lions' defense so they have the most players available for their 2nd straight Super Bowl run.
