Bring Back Kenyon?

Post#1 » by NyCeEvO » Sun Dec 18, 2011 9:20 pm

NBAonESPN The NBA on ESPN
Kenyon Martin heading back to the NBA? His team in China is considering it, according to sources (via @ESPNSteinLine) - es.pn/vNr8MN

Would you guys brink back K-Mart for the vet.min?

He was the heart of NJ 8-9 years ago. Although, he has been plagued with knee injuries, I kinda want to see him pump up the NJ crowd one last time before we leave.

I'd definitely bring back Kenyon on a 1 year deal if you can get him even for maybe $5 mill.

He'd instantly bring toughness and defense.

I wouldn't go much higher then that if at all, I have serious doubts about him maintaining his health through a compressed season.

BTW, anyone else like this Horner kid?

I think with yesterday's game he earned himself a spot on the roster. He makes the right plays and is certainly more useful than guys like Petro and Graham.

As for K-Mart 5 mil would be ideal. He still has some hops and is still a great defender.

There's talk that his team may let him out of his contract soon.

I wonder if the same goes for Wilson Chandler?

It's kind of hard to believe there was a time when in the eastern conf you could make the finals with jkidd and two player who were only good because of him lol.

of course i would take him back-- but he may feel disrespected if the nets offered him the vet mininmum.

having his toughness on the roster would be a plus for sure tho.

Pretty sure 6 is still available right? I hope we find a way to bring him back honestly. I think there's still plenty of love for Kenyon from Nets fans.

he would help in making brook lopez become tougher. so id throw a lil bit extra money at him not too much but would love to have him back. Plus hes a defensive beast, and hes good on the glass.

Unless we're signing K-Mart from 2003, I don't think so. He hasn't been a high-flyer for years.

Ture. He'd be a great signing for the Nets. He's still one hell of a defensive animal though. Since the Knicks signed Baron Davis only to a vet min, hopefully we're able to go after AK47, Humphries or Kenyon Martin with our MLE. Honestly, I'd love to see NY with Tyson Chandler and Kenyon Martin as defensive minded players down low. Martin would improve any teams bench (in regards to defensive ability).

Return to Brooklyn Nets
