He's lazy, coming into the season out of shape, and has a skillset that needs to be applied to a more athletic body than he has. Too slow laterally to be a defensive force, even with his wingspan and length, and too weak in frame to play PF effectively on the defensive end. Plus, he's a chucker.

I hope not. I also don't think there will be enough cap space left to do so, especially after signing Jamal Crawford today.

Haven't looked at the Blazers cap, but after using the amnesty on Roy they should have room. Its not like there's gonna be some big bidding war for Outlaw.

If there would be any team interested in Outlaw, it would be Portland. He needs to get his mind right again.

I think it's pretty common knowledge that Outlaw will go to Portland, especially since they just amnestied Roy.

Anyway. WOOOOOOH!!!

Outlaw should never be more than a backup SF/PF. That's where he excelled and that's what the Knicks are trying to get for him. What they fail to understand is that not only did Outlaw suck the entire season, HE CAME INTO TRAINING CAMP OUT OF SHAPE! We gave him the biggest contract he'll ever see, and he rewarded us by coming into camp out of shape. The fact that he had the audacity to do that should tell every team all they need to know about Outlaw.

It's bad enough that we believe that NBA players have it easy. The players don't need Outlaw to be living proof of that.

Not familiar with this guy? Nets fans seem thrilled to be rid of him which says a lot about him.

Fair evaluation of his strengths and weaknesses anyone?

Strengths
- high release on his jump shot, can also fade away making it very tough to block
- streaky shooter in general
- good length
- cool customer in the 4th quarter (and even gets a little bit better)
- seems like a genuinely good guy

Weaknesses
- not a good shooter in general, average at best
- tweener in every sense - too small for the 4 not athletic enough for a 3
- His length and athleticism do not impact the game in any facet like they should
- not good positionally on defense
- no ball handling ability
- no offensive moves going to the basket or in the post
- not a good finisher
- overall very low BBIQ

Overall - he's long so when his shot is falling he can be tough to guard. Plays best as an undersized PF coming off the bench where he can use his athleticism to take advantage of less athletic PF's. If his shot isn't falling he contributes nothing offensively.

Thanks Netaman... I like the signing for the Kings. Kings had to spend 1mil to reach minimum payroll. Claim Outlaw for cheap without putting future moves in jeopardy. He will come off the bench in SAC

He's better than what he showed with the Nets last year but that's not saying much. I honestly don't like the signing for the Kings primarily because Outlaw is a bit of a ball-stopper and the Kings already have a number of players with sticky fingers when they get the rock...

As a member of the Nets Outlaw flat out refused to attack the basket it was both comical and depressing. :-?

Outlaw plays basketball but he doesn't love the game, it's why he's never really improved despite being in the league for 8 YEARS.

I wish the Kings the best but there money could have been better spent elsewhere...

Time for Damion James to step up and develop into the beast he was at Texas.

Averaged 7.6 rebounds, 1.4 steals and 1.0 blocks per 36 minutes last season.
