Good chance Martinez might get the sack soon? 14 goals in 15 games for a side that's built on playing attacking football and firmly in relegation race is pretty bad.

People usually only talk about Jones, but I think I actually like Smalling better right now. More consistent and reliable player at this point of their careers.

The one thing that I find interesting with Jones is that he's one of the few defensive players (still applies when he plays in midfield like today) that plays his best when you notice him. It's a rare quality among defenders, but Jones is just incredibly skilled (nearly scored a beauty today). I'm still much higher on Jones even right now, but Smalling's got such great presence. He's gotten more comfortable at RB too and having his height there is always nice. He put in a few nice crosses today too.
