Would you buy a ticket to a Hawks game?

Post#1 » by smittylo » Wed Dec 21, 2011 7:21 pm

I just had a co-worker come up to me and tell me the only way he would go and see my favorite team play is if he was an employee of Phillips Arena. I wondered if a lot of you feel that way. Would you spend good money to go to see the Hawks or would you wait for somebody to give you tickets to go to Phillips?

I personally would and do buy tickets; the Hawks aren't a terrible team they're actually quite entertaining with Josh Smith and compony, the atmosphere is great at games especially in the Playoffs. The people in Atlanta love the Hawks and games are sold out come playoff time.

I buy tickets often. I spend a great deal of money and time invested in the team. I even travel to see them as often as possible.

As long as ASG still owns the team, nope. Even if I win some or got some for free, I will give them away before I waste my time on a 2nd rounder team.

Once or twice a year, I go. It's a 4-hour trip and the TV is soooo much easier, so I don't go much. I've taken the entire family but it's my youngest son who's the only one (besides me) who really cares, so, usually, he's the one I bring. We try to sit close enough for him to scream at the refs and call out to the players ... AND oggle the dance team - he loves time outs.

I keep saying I'm mad and won't give them any more of my money but then I forget why I'm mad. Shoot me.

You see things when you don't have the TV camera telling you where to look. I learn things about the players I never see on the screen.
My mother told me, she said, "Elwood, to make it in this world you either have to be oh, so clever or oh, so pleasant." Well, for years I was clever; I recommend pleasant.

no , not the curent team we have now . if the hawks can add some players around the trade deadline to seriously challenge the heat and bulls id consider spending my money on them but i actually think the hawks are worse going into this season than last . as long as the current owners are happy being a second round team i'll just watch the games from home.
