The biggest offense in this is Monta's taste in women. You're a young multimillionaire. You should be banging supermodels left and right. What are you doing sending an image of your penis to THIS?

She's been working for the Warriors since 2007 (Monta's 2nd year). Apparently she and Monta had something going (team has claimed they heard about it and told both of them to stop). Monta got married about a year or so ago and these texts started (in a pretty bizarre way).

Monta's wife apparently found out about them and told the FO and ultimately the woman was removed from her normal duties (she was Director of Communications which was part of HR and did a lot of the marketing events along with the players) eventually was canned (according to her) and is suing both Monta and the team about a year later (after the fact if it is one).

Boltuch said the team eliminated Smith's position in August, more than a week after she notified the team that a reporter contacted her inquiring if Ellis was "stalking" her.

wouldn't that make part of her grievance only about 4 months old?

Yeah, the problem for her (at least credibility wise, and that's the harassment part, not the unlawful termination) is that the "supposed" harassment took place back on November, 2010. If she was being harassed and nothing was being done, she should have brought it to someone's intention back then, not wait until she got fired.

The team seems to be saying they had a consensual relationship and were both told to stop. No one has said when it was, nor how long it lasted but presumably it would have stopped after Monta got married. A lot of questions still remain but the initial idea most people had was a lot different than what most of us thought it seems the more and more info we get into the matter.

Monta is certainly not innocent here but the question is more I think of how guilty he is and if so exactly to what degree?

Sucks that women can claim and sue for sexual harassment for the smallest thing like a text message. Civil cases for things like this have cost and wasted so much money in our country. It's getting out of hand.

Women nowadays are well protected by law as precious as Barbie dolls. Nothing new; But Ellis as a married man getting involved with such conduct is embarrassing both as a team captain and a husband. This is reality show; Welcome to the NBA.

I think she's like 37 now and may have been kicking it with Monta when he was only 19 for who knows how long. Just giving the young dude training lessons preparing him for the real world. Better than him going out chasing hookers.

yeah, the timing makes it seem like her biggest problem is against the warriors' actions, not monta.
