this, and i love it. And no matter what, the guy is upbeat on the sidelines. that rubs off on people in a good way.

I usually don't get hyped for rookies but I really like what I see in Justin Harper. He seems to have a good head on his shoulders and he plays very hard.

I really liked that play where he threw right to Dwayne Wade at the top of the key. I'm serious. That should have been a run out dunk for Wade but he sprinted back immediately and made sure to put him on the line. He was FLYING down the court at full stride...and at 6'10" that was very impressive. Next play down, he calmly hits a corner three.

He has all the tools to be a really really good NBA player. I just hope SVG gives the guy some minutes.

Yep, Harper played excellent for a rookie getting his first extended minutes. His main mistakes were normal like 3 sec in the paint, stupid fouls, but he shot the ball well and went against Haslem while getting minutes against some superstars. That was nice.

Hughes played great also. Dude is a true veteran not making bad passes and was slick out there.

I wasn't impresed with Liggins too much. Orton comes off the bench and within 10 seconds of being in the game drains like a 15-17 footer. Then, made another later on. But, he looks like a real big slow guy. Didn't get to see him get challenged much so I am unsure on his overall game.

my TIVO didnt record the game and i was just furious. i wish the game was recorded online so i could see.

Im with you, I was more impressed with Harpers overall performance then Liggins. They both look to have potential, but Harper looks more ready to be a contributor at this point. Hughes came off the bench and looked like the old Larry Hughes, I know its just one game (a preseason one at that) but I think he not only made the team last night, I think he got the backup point guard spot. BBD helped turn the game around with his aggressiveness, it rubbed off on everyone and they picked up the intensity. A couple more players with a mean streak on this roster (Kenyon Martin/Steven Jackson) and I think this would be the best defensive team in the NBA.

Seriously laughed at ESPN this morning. When they showed highlights of the game, they didn't even mention the Heat losing... It revolved around LeBron and how HE got into Q's head. LOL so ridiculous... They also said how much better he looked than he did in the finals. How? He got flustered and shot air balls late in the game! He still wasn't clutch at all... ESPN is mental...

F@%* ESPN, I stopped watching their stupid biased shows a looong time ago. Only tune in for games and what not, other than that, I don't bother.

i respect you guys disagreeing... but pushing lebron and getting a technical for it doesn't equate to playing with heart and confidence... Q-Rich made some bone-headed turnovers on simple entry passes to Dwight... he also overplayed Lebron way over the top of the key several times and got burned... I did like that he checked Lebron a few times, but I can't help but think Lebron baited him into doing that... look who got the technical foul at the end of the day.

i think the problem with Q is that we know who he is and what we're getting with him... he's just not that good, he just sucks, I'm sorry... out of all the veteran players (aside from Orton obviously) he is probably the worst or second worst player on our team along with Chris Duhon. I think this team has a much better chance of winning with someone else backing up Hedo at SF who has size, athleticism, and length. I will admit Earl didn't look so great in last night's game... but he only played 3 minutes... he didn't make a turnover, and he only took one shot (and it was a good look)... from what I've seen from Earl in the short time he played last season, his output and potential is much higher than Q-Rich... and from what I've seen from Q-Rich, I see the same old song and dance... boneheaded plays and missing 3s... hitting a few shots while wearing a headband, and going toe to toe with Lebron isn't going to win me over (see: Matt Barnes).

Ya, I'm not talking about the pushing. He played good defense last night, and he didn't show Bron TOO much respect. You could tell Earl was a little timid guarding him, gave him WAY too much room And Q hit a HUGE three with bron in his face.. And as far as knowing who players are, right now we know what Earl can give us, it's not much, and when he doesn't play good defense, it's not really anything.

he didn't say it was regarding the Magic... just said it wasn't involving Howard.
