Durant??

I think maybe he got taller, but I don't see a whole lot of extra bulk. He still mishandles the ball on simple dribble moves frequently, which really just emphasises how much he can improve once his coordination catches up to his body.

Even if Durant maintained his weight I would expect him to get better.

Honestly, I expect greatness from this kid. I remember flipping through the channels back when he was at Texas. Sitting back in my chair watching this long armed and legged kid who couldn't be stopped. Kevin was amazing at dropping buckets.

Somewhere in archives that are no longer around. Back in the Seattle Super Sonics forum I have a thread buried where I said I'd take Durant over Greg Oden long before the Sonics landed the second pick.

Just watching that kid play in college was enough to see that this kid was a man among boys even if his slight frame suggested otherwise.

Kevin is just so damn long he just out stretches people. He really is a Durantula.

I can't wait for this season man. We all know Kevin is the number one option but the man is fortunate enough to have a boatload of help.

Russell Westbrook is a stat filler. He might not be a pure point but the kid can be pretty dominating on a game at times. He impacts the game in a number of ways and he is fearless when attacking the rack. In my opinion he does as much as anyone in the league at that position. I also think Westbrook is ripe with potential. I don't think many would use the word refined on Russells game. He has some definite area of improvement he could work on but nothing says he can't iron out the wrinkles. Rose get's a bunch of hype because he is in Chicago and no doubt the man is amazing but Westbrook doesn't get the love he deserves in comparison.

James Harden...Serge Ibaka?.... Right now from what I have seen the last two seasons with these two kids is that Serge has had the better first two years in the league. I wonder if this season James is going to swing things the other direction? James had a couple of hot games last playoffs. One was sensational. But over the long haul Serge has been more consistent and has dominated as well. Regardless of who is better I know these two guys are going to contribute a ton in helping this team win a ring. Yes a ring.

Perk looks like he is committed to winning this season, coming in great shape. That is huge for me. I have witnessed on the nightly of a bunch of chubby guys, Benoit Benjamin, Jerome James and Vin Baker along with watching from a far Shawn Kemp the Reign Man looking more like a blimp. I'm happy to see Perkins looks professional.

I'm curious to see how Cole is doing. I read that he and Collison were back at Kansas working out. I think when Nick is done he'll be a very good coach.

And I want to give some love to Nazr. I know the man is a role player but I like him there. I watched him beat up the Sonics a few years back and I am glad Presti and Nazr have that connection from San Antonio. He can actually play. He does his work.
