In fact, this year, I wouldn't be surprised if no one was above 32. There's a reason depth will be important this year. It's going to be brutal schedule-wise, and guys are going to need rest.
I'm moreso talking about the type of player they are within the system, the type of player that stays on the floor as much as possible. If foul trouble happens it happens, but foul trouble didn't always dictate Westphals head scratching substitution pattern that did exactly as I predicted it would, pissed players off.
As for Hayes, if he's used in the offense like they say they're going to use him, he needs to be on the floor as much as possible because if his passing last year wasn't an anomaly, then he's going to be HUGE for the offense. Last year his minutes went up to around there towards the end of the year and you can see a noticeable spike in production.
Evans and Thornton will most assuredly be over 32 mpg. They seem like the only guys Westphal goes out of his way to keep on the floor. There was a major difference in how this team performed last year when Westphal kept his best players on the floor as much as possible and stopped the merry go round method of substitution.
