KEYS TO THE GAME:

Clippers - share and take care of the ball. In 2 preseason games, Clippers had 55 assists to only 17 turnovers. Play perimeter D, close out on shooters. The team had many steals and deflections in the preseason.

Warriors - spread the floor, use shooters to their advantage. Backcourt is quicker than Clippers, run and gun at all opportunities. Use size to outrebound the Clippers.

Game On, "fasten your seatbelts," the season os finally starting. I am so excited to see the Clips in action, I'm almost fricking giddy.
If we play team ball, we should be ok. I don't think it will take us 14 games for the 1st "W" this season!

Merry Christmas everyone.

I am so excited/nervous about this game. We have a chance for everyone to watch us tonight. We played really well in the preseason, but this is the regular season. I'm curious to see how we will matchup with the Warriors defensively. I'm really hoping for a win, it would be a great Christmas gift :D
I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!

The Clippers should be more competent at rebounding and somewhat better on D... and since they should be able to fight fire with fire next to any team in the league offensively, I'd strongly expect a win here. The Warriors are going to be spectacularly bad on defense, as usual, but they run FAST and they can shoot the 3, so the Clips have to watch out.

Best of luck, and happy holidays to all. As a more general NBA fan, I'm incredibly enthused about this game (I was gonna say "jazzed," but it seemed in poor taste...), and I think it's going to be a hella-exciting game.

I have been waiting so eagerly for this day to come, even before we got CP3, Chauncey, Caron, etc. I have a good feeling about today's game.

Oh and by the way, Merry Christmas!

Great game thread illastrade.

Agree with you in that we need to take care of the ball and defend the perimeter.

Let's Go Clips!!!

I think the Warriors will play us a lot tougher than the Lakers and this game will go down to the wire. Curry >>>>>>>>>> Fisher/Blake, Wright could get hot at an moment, and the team as a whole is much more athletic than the Lakers. Plus it's almost guaranteed they'll drop 110+. Clips need to be ready for this one.

Steph Curry will give it a go.

Tip-off is not until 7:45 due to the OKC/ORL game running over.
