If I remember correctly when Lebron took that first big break we couldn't score at the beginning of the second quarter until Wade hit a couple of shots and Jones came in and knocked down some 3s
Then when he took a seat again late we couldn't score with Wade and good players still in (I'm not counting scrub time)
I don't think Dallas will be a good defensive team this year so we don't really know how good we are yet. I don't think we will be that good though, a lot of our shots were just falling today. We seem better though
Lebron seemed on a mission and was the only one that seemed to have control.
Bosh is probably getting used to his bulk.
Wade was good with Lebron in the game, but without LBJ it was really sloppy.
Actually, after the sloppy stretch when LeBron went to the bench, it was Wade who took over when nothing was working. You people need to relax though, this is a different style of offense most players will have to get used to. Especially players like Chalmers and UD, who've been accustomed to the slow halfcourt offense we've been running for a while, need to adjust to playing more off of their instincts and less in fully strucutred systems. Of course great individual players look great when they're allowed to freelance a lot and LeBron looked extra good because he was just on fire.
Bosh on the other hand looked terrible because he a) couldn't buy a shot and b) was lost out there at times because he pretty much seemed to have the same problems UD and Chalmers had. Give this team with its new offense some time, it'll flourish soon. If everybody not named Wade or James still struggles to score 30-40 games into the season, then we can discuss it, but not after a one game, which was a blowout after all.
My main issue last night was how the entire team checked out mentally in the third quarter. Everybody thought the game was over so they could just try some stuff. Luckily for us, LeBron could hit most of his shots, so Dallas couldn't come too close too early. Additionally, we pretty much stopped defending. Last night, our lead was too big so that we couldn't really lose the game anymore, but we have to learn to keep the foot on the gas pedal until the final buzzer sounds. This had nothing to do with learning a new offense, this was just us being too cocky again and that was an issue last season as well.
