O-Line was better. No injuries. Nothing to play for next week, Rodgers plays a quarter.

I have no idea how anyone can listen to Ellerson on any sort of regular basis. In fact, i can't remember the last time i tuned into 1250.

As for the Packers, was great to see the offense get back on track and no injuries. Likely gonna need that offense to score a lot of points in the playoffs to win another title given yet another sub-par showing by the defense. The Bears offense has been garbage since Cutler/Forte went out, yet somehow they managed to rack up 440 yards against our hemorrhaging defense and 200 rushing yards from their 3rd/4th string backs even, though everyone knew they'd try hard to run the ball. Very disturbing to watch.

One thing that will be interesting to watch come the playoffs is at running back. Over the last three weeks, Grant has averaged 5.5/8.5/5.5 yards per carry. He looked done prior to the Starks injury. So i wonder if McCarthy will try to give Starks some carries next week to shake off some rust. If he struggles though, i'll be curious to see who starts off getting the most carries in the first playoff game.

What's even crazier is that most radio stations operate on some sort of delay so they can bleep those things out. My show on WSUM in Madison operates on a 20 second delay, so I can dump audio if someone accidentally curses or I play music that has curses in there that I wasn't aware of. So even if they didn't know they were playing the unedited version, they could have still managed to bleep it after they found out.

That being said, safe harbor hours start at 10:00PM, so they can get away with some curses on the radio after that without breaking the law.

Little relief seeing the offense show that the Chiefs game was a fluke and nothing to worry about. Defense is still a joke but when all healthy I think they have just enough to win a super bowl if everyone on defense can play.

Looking at some Bears highlights, there was a lot of arm tackling going on last night. Maybe they were a bit freaked out by the Jennings injury and just wanted to get out of there healthy.

This current Packers team reminds me a lot of the 1998 Vikings that went 15-1 but ultimately lost in the NFC title game to the Falcons. Plenty of offensive fireworks but in the end a defense that couldn't get the big stops when needed. Hope I'm wrong though.

The last time we had full home field going into the playoffs was 1996-correct? Hard to believe the Packers only need to win two home games and they can be back in the Super Bowl.

Also, I've seen some places that homefield doesn't mean a lot to GB. I have to disagree. We've looked better at home than on the road this year:

Every road game this year was a margin of 12 or less, with 4 of the 7 wins being by a TD or less (with one loss by 5). We're also 18-1 in our last 19 home games and have won our last 12 in Lambeau. This is a good thing.

high-five brimley, same here! I will celebrate by rewatching every snap the TRAIN OF DEATH played last night and by taking a shot of wild turkey every instance he did something train of death like.

In team related business, if the coaches are at all serious about evaluating every snap and holding gentlemen accountable, there is simply no way Hawk should not be losing snaps (I would say all of them, but that's me) to DJ Smiff. I can't stand him. Even when he does well he does poorly. Case in point, I have one play burned into my mind that occurred late in the 4th quarter. Two guys had the player wrapped up after like a 7yd gain and momentum was taking him backwards and it was clear the two defenders had the tackle ensured... one instant later and AJ throws himself into the scrum and brings all 3 of them down, only he (inadvertantly?) turns the 7yd gain into a 9-10yd gain by knocking them all forward. My hatred for Hawk is at a seething level and may rival my hatred for Glen "Big Baby/Fat Mamba" Davis.

Also, a lot of interesting switches last night with Walden unable to hold the edge against the run. Brad Jones, although doing nothing positive, certainly wasn't taking things off of the table like Walden in the run game. Similarly, Train of Death was put into the game before garbage time when it was clear no OLB besides clay is worth a damn. I'll be curious to hear/read if any analysis comes out about this and if they plan to change the rotations at all... My question to the board, if Capers insists on leaving hawk in at MLB, is DJ Smiff playing out of position really worse than Walden/Jones?? I might rewatch the forth quarter, but I thought there was an instance or two in which I saw Smiff lined up in Walden's spot, but I was a bit schnookered by then.
