Bosh had 7 boards in under 25 minutes. That's acceptable, he was pretty much handcuffed due to foul trouble. Wade was good, but Lebron was just phenomenal. For some reason I feel he's gonna make every single person eat their words this year.

You misunderstood him. This a**hole was clowning people who were praising the Heat for their performance today by sarcastically saying they're the champs hand them the title (as in this was just 1 game they looked good but hand them the title anyway)
Either way, those shitheads (minus Wilbon) managed to avoid the fact that the Mavs got significantly worse this season. They do **** like that to play into the hype and create a spectacle for ratings.
Yeah Baby!

Bosh was terribad. He looked like has he has always looked. He even tried running the ball and doing a eurostep. He wasn't in the post too much. He has a highlight dunk, that's about it. Haslem, Wade and even LBJ out-rebounded him. He couldn't do anything, was getting man handled, etc.
Last season Haslem led the Heat in rebounds, but after he went down, Bosh did. I want everyone to be healthy, and I want to see if Haslem will continue to lead the team in rebounds. If he does, it's sad because Bosh is suppose to. He's taller yet he is still gets handled on the boards. The Mavs Center isn't CHandler anymore, he shouldn't have had so much damn trouble.
The offense looks better. Even though they cut a 30+ point lead to 11, they shot very well and rebounded very well. Anthony played too much for my liking though.
LEBRON WAS ON FIRE.
It sometimes got sloppy, lots of TO's the Heat had. But they looked so fast and athletic out there. Or the Mavs are too slow. Wade and LBJ were in the post more initiating the offense and getting double teams. Bench scored 29, which is awesome. Haslem had 14 rebs off the bench, HE IS BACK!!!
They missed too many damn FT's as a team though. TOO MANY.
You people seriously need to relax. LeBron was on fire, Dwyane had a solid game and Bosh had an off-night. With our new offense, Chris might have a huge night while one of D-Wade or LeBron doesn't really score a lot. That's the beauty of it. Players can just go with the flow of the game and find whoever is in rhythm and has a good day. LeBron couldn't miss last night so naturally, we were looking for him. CB will be fine, he had some foultrouble and never really found his way into the game. I'm actually glad to see that with one of our Big Three having an off-night we can still dominate teams.

Good play from the Heat you guys handed our behinds to us in an emphatic fashion, the Heat is definitely the team to beat, despite the finals loss, and we are far from ready, i expect another loss tonight against a very good and deep Denver team. You guys on the other hand will probably start real strong, i expect a 13-2 record in the first 15, possibly even better, this team looks ready, and they have an easy early schedule.

And he was just telling you that you overstated Bosh struggles. Yes he struggle offensively, but it wasnt even important it was a blow out. He tried to force some things just to get himself involved, but James and Wade were doing so much damage scoring. Bosh didnt struggle on defense and didnt struggle on the boards. As a team we dominated the rebound stats. Since it was a blow out there wasnt much of an attempt by the team to get him involved.

With DVRs and the Internets...there's always time to play catch up lol.
Personally, I like to watch most games 20-30mins behind so I can skip all the commercials and catch up to LIVE somewhere in the 4th quarter.

It's an amazing stat to be honest...
Yet only times in that stretch the Heat have beaten the Mavs were in the Finals lol. Then two more the 2nd Finals came around.

The Good;
LeBron looked amazing...Post ups, jump shot...WOW
UD, we missed this guy so much...
James Jones.....He only counts by 3's but thats good enough for me
Cole.. the kid looked amazing. Mario it was nice knowing you.
The Bad;
Bosh needs to find his jumper and post game. I'm sure alot of it was rust but we need him
Dex Pittman looked terrible. By far the worst player on the court yesterday in limited minutes
Mario Chalmers needs to step up
Wade had great momments when every time we get up big in games, Wade always plays like he doesn't care and it brings the team down.
Joel Anthony is terrible! WE NEED A CENTER.

At the risk of sounding crazy, I no longer feel Joel's problem is on offense. Am I nuts for thinking that? I feel that he's functional on that end. You pass him the ball now, and he actually catches it. He goes up with confidence if there's an opening, or he'll pass it back out. But he's no longer a detriment on the offensive end.
OTOH, his terrible rebounding rate is gonna make me gray before my time. Dirk was pulling down boards over him. Everyone was. He's just not jumping at the right time. There was a game last year where he pulled down a bunch of boards, but that's a fluke. His timing on rebounds is terrible again. I thought he got better towards the end of last season, but I could be mistaken. He won't be a problem on the 2nd unit with Haslem, but starting him is gonna be a problem against good rebounding teams like the Bulls.
Oh well, he's the weakest link in the 9-10 man rotation. It's not the end of the world really. Joel gonna Joel. PEACE.

Yeah, I have no idea how you managed to come to that conclusion, or how you didn't think rebounding has always been a serious issue with Joel either.
Our team offense has improved, probably largely thanks to cohesiveness and the new scheme we've implemented, but Joel the individual hasn't changed. We just play around him better.

Rebounding always bothered me about him, but honestly, he doesn't seem a problem on offense anymore. He's had more and1's this year alone than probably his entire career. He has yet to fumble a pass. He's missed a couple bunnies, but even Pittman has. Joel did catch an oop from Bron yesterday too. He's finally functional on offense, but the rebounding might have been the biggest problem in the first place. Anyway, step in the right direction. PEACE.

He scored 6 points yesterday including 1 and-1. I don't know if he had 1 in the preseason. Not sure how that's anything special.
He has yet to fumble a pass.
That's just not true, he's fumbled several.
He's missed a couple bunnies, but even Pittman has.
And Pittman doesn't even look like he belongs in the NBA right now.
Joel did catch an oop from Bron yesterday too.
In garbage time, when the defense wasn't looking. Not to mention he had quite a few last year as well.
He's finally functional on offense,
lol... I'm just baffled by this. He was 2 for 3 for 6 points in 26 minutes, and we're calling him functional?
It can't hurt to try to analyze the game, but I think you're taking it to another level with Joel. If he went 1 for 3 with a couple of passes bobbled out of bounds tomorrow night, would you be saying he regressed to last year's level?
He's not hurting because he's not touching the ball. We're running way more than we did last year, which means we don't have to wait for our halfcourt offense (and Joel) to mess things up. ESPN had a nice stat last night on our halfcourt vs transition offense, we were actually pretty mediocre in the halfcourt yesterday (41% shooting) but awesome in transition.
Also, read this article.
http://espn.go.com/blog/truehoop/miamih ... ed-offense
To emphasize how different the Heat played in this game compared to the Finals, consider the following: the Heat drew six fouls in transition on Sunday; they drew a total of eight during the entire NBA Finals six months ago.

Joel still sucks out there. He looks so small when even Dirk would box him out. He just is not the answer at Center. Sigh.

He's functional, Tim. Last year he was not functional as he dropped most passes than Chris Dudley. This year, he's functional. Functional doesn't mean good. Functional means he is no longer a detriment. He's not fumbling passes, so his defender still has to stay with him. When they don't, our guys have the confidence now to pass him the ball. He wouldn't get 6 points in 3 games last year. You have to admit there is a significant improvement on the offensive end.
Everytime he gets the ball now, he looks for a shot. If it's not there, he'll pass it back, but now he has the confidence that he can score. The rebounding is what makes him no good as a center, not his offensive game. Consider this, he scored as much as Kwame and Tyson did in their openers. That's functional. PEACE.

Can we stop jinxing him? you know he'll start airballing dunks next game.
we need him to keep doing work, just stay confident and aggressive. we dont need more than 2-3 for 6 ponits from him on a nightly basis. just focus on rebounding better please, come on Joel.
