As soon as Richardson will be back 100% von will look like the role player that he is.

The best and most synthetical message of the entire thread (as usual with Alez)
I think Wafer's age is the key here, he deserve's some opportunities to show what he can do.

Don't you ever forget that he's one of the most prolific scorers in the league

We want a slasher and a scorer and when we have one you want to complain he doesn't play defense and is a scrub. Perpetually looking for the bad things. Wafer never materialized in the NBA simply because of his attitude and lack of discipline.

Wait so because he reacted like most nba players do after a nice dunk (not knowing he missed it of course) and a brawl with a teamate in practice is why he "Hasen't made it"? :o

some people around here have the wrong mentality man...we're all part of the same team..we should want Von to do well...but it is what it is i guess....I can't speak for anyone else but for myself and i want Wafer to play more minutes...He is the only guy currently on the roster that attacks and doesn't settle....Von is what he is as a person but as a player he is all he have if we want a player than can create off the dribble for himself....Now it was only 1 game and i would love if he got regular minutes so he can prove his worth but if Chris Duhon is playing 17 minutes i doubt Wafer will get any significant time

Of course we all want Von to do well, but last week everyone hated the guy, now after 5min he should be the new starter? What has he done in his career? Yea give the guy a few minutes but he hasn't earned anything in the nba yet, minutes could help that yes but let him crack the rotation first, If he can

We're still winning 4-2, me and neon, you need to step up, son

IMO, the magic were feeling nostalgic about pietrus and put up a sign that read "only -20 IQ ballers" and BAM!, here comes won vafer.
I mean, c'mon, the guy tried to call a timeout in a FIBA game, where players aren't allowed to do that

i respect your opinion....but let me ask you this...what has Duhon done for us to warrant him getting those minutes? wasn't good when he got here...still isn't good now.....Me i don't want Wafer starting unless he proves something to me but i feel that he should have a chance to prove he deserves to play more than garbage time....My worse fear is that politics will block that chance simply because we're obligated to play the big money guys just because instead of guys that will actually get it done....

If politics are controlling who is getting minutes, Dwight, Otis, and Stan will not be part of this team next year.

I was initially impressed with this guy and still am a bit but after checking on how long he has been around there is some reason and an altercation with Delonte and a few bad plays is not it. He failed a physical with houston which is odd for his age and the fact that he is good to go now. Hope it was not a drugs issue.

For those guy whining about Stan only using three points in his system might not hurt to actually do some reading. In his first year as a coach he utilized a slasher. You might have heard of him. Some guy called Dwayne Wade and no that firsteyear rookie did not give indications he would be that good in his first year and Stan still used him.

Stop it. you're using logic, we don't like logic on these boards.

Something interesting to watch for going forward with Von Wafer:

Unit Nelson/Wafer/Hedo/Ryan/Howard Ortg 128.57 - Drtg 85.71

Very small sample obviously.
