DeMarcus Cousins looks slimmer.

Only reason we don't have 10 point point lead cause of these bad substations.

Looking good so far, a LOT of kick outs. MUCH better than 1 on 1 iso play.

Props to Salmons for being what is needed right now; a defender on Kobe and just filling in where's needed. I haven't seen him throw up many shots or ball hog it.

Winning with defense. I like it.

The only sore spot I see is unfortunately Cousins. Perhaps he focused too much on his body and not basketball over the offseason.

Chuck Hayes, man, his presence is huge defensively. I've mainly just been watching him and his screens and help defense are incredible.

Evans' defense looks GREAT. Glad to see he isn't just saying he wants to be a good defender, he's doing it.

Chuck Hayes has historically done well against Gasol/Bynumn. He was one of the main reason the Rockets took Lakers to 7 game after Yao went down.

Whoever said Thornton couldn't play defense is an idiot. He challenged Kobe amazingly well when given the chance.

Yeah, pretty disturbing actually. I don't know what "spread offense" Westphal is using but it's unlike any one I've seen.

I saw one back door attempt from Hayes to Salmons so I know they're trying but man, there has to be some sort of plays designed even though it's only been two weeks.

Don't know the system or the way it's going to be used but this group looks like it could be something special. Outlaw looking really good as well.

Westphal is getting little wild with his rotations again though, that won't bode well for this team getting some consistency going in the long run, he needs to remember what he did that worked last year and what he did that didn't work.

It's not just Haye's own defense, but the rest of the team's defense is better also. Hayes is going to help the Kings out alot with team defense. He is not afraid to take a player to the side and give him some advice on how to guard a player.

Gasol is getting owned by Kings defense. The other players seem to have benefited from Chuck's leadership.

Hayes with 8 rebounds at the half and is the leading rebounder. Woohoo!

For now, I'm going to chalk the offense and weird rotations to the short training camp/preseason, with Westphal and the team still figuring each other out.

The one thing that looks much improved already though is the defense. Thank you Chuck Hayes and Coach Smart.

Too much one on one right now, and the subbing in and out by the frontcourt players is starting to screw up any continuity they had going.

Also Westphal has some major explaining to do because this is guard domination at it's highest point. Where's this offense he keeps speaking about?

Don't want to create controversy here, but is there a noticeable difference when Jimmer is running the offense? My goodness, I think we saw a pick and roll!!!! hahaha.

Gotta see more Chuck and Cuz out there together.

And what the heck happened to JT, did he forget how to rebound?
