ATL/NO/ LAC

Post#1 » by FCNATL85 » Mon Dec 26, 2011 6:43 am

ATL ships M. Williams + Stackhouse for Mo. Williams and a 2nd. There is a log jam at the PG position and Marvin would be a great back-up to Butler or Griffin. Mo needs to get out of LA if he wants to see PT.

ATL ships Zaza and KH + LAC 2nd to NO for Okafor

Williams- Teague- Pargo
JJ- Green- TMac
Smith- T Mac- FA (Thornton)
Horford- Smith- I.Johnson
Okafor- Collins- Horford

Hawks could resign either Benson or Rolle (pref to Benson) to have big insurance of the bench and send him to D-League.

Other possible option, cut off LAC and send Zaza, Marvin and Stack (to be cut) to NO for Okafor
keep Teague as starting PG, Pargo and Sloan/KH
rest is the same. Strategy here is to keep KH cap space to resign Teague down the road while still adding min FA (Thorton).

PB; if any of our bigs gets hurt, we are in deep trouble. Already true with the roster as it stands by the way...

actually no need for the FA since we have Radma on board i forgot...
ATL could even ship Okafor- Horford- Green + one 1st (or 2) + 2nd 12 to ORL for extanded Dwight + JJ2

Teague- Pargo- Sloan/ KH
JJ1- JJ2- signs FA (Bogans) for D purposes
Radma- T Mac- Smoothe
Smoothe- I. Johnson- Radma
Dwight- Collins- resigned Benson

excellent starting 5 with Radma and JJ offering the outside shots, JT penetrating
of the bench, JJ2 and later KH would form a dynamic back court with good shooting, Bogans could even move at the 3 for D, Ivan and Collins would offer some "beef" inside and I am sure that Ivan would develop that mid range to extended range ala Big Baby, while energizing the bench...

KH would insure that we can resign Teague IF he develops as anticipated or provide cap to go after a decent point...

I wonder if hornets would trade okafor for hinrich and zaza ? okafor has a large contract and the hornets maybe trying to cut cost plus now that they have kaman okafor may not be needed. zaza is a solid backup and much cheaper .

What's the deal with Mo Williams coming here? Seen a lot of it on the T&T board and now it's creeping over here. Ever since his last season, he's been very average for a starting PG. A little less than a year ago, he was used as salary filler so LAC could get rid of Baron Davis - and now we'd actually trade a starter for him?!? I'd prefer to see what we have in Teague and use any fungible assets we've got into getting a banger @ C before pulling the trigger on that guy. Don't understand the "board knowledge" on him at all.

100% agree with this post. No need to trade for a another PG unless it is a clear-cut upgrade like D-Will, Chris Paul, or maybe Rondo. I would still like to see a Nash and Lopez trade for Kirk and Marvin though. But we are good at PG we need a true C or someone who maybe a PF/C but can bang down low scoring and rebounding the damn ball.
