Matchup of the night:

Jennings on Rubio:

"Yes. Because he played in the Olympics, he's been playing pro ball since he was like 14. So there it is right there," Jennings was quoted as saying. "I can't wait to play him, though, in summer league. I'm just letting you know that now. I can't wait.

"Yeah, I think I'm a better player than he is," Jennings told reporters after working out for the Sacramento Kings on Friday. "I just shoot the ball better than he can. The only thing I've seen him do sometimes is when he has a home run pass or something like that. I think the dude is just all hype. I can't even front. I'm just going to be real with you guys."

We shall see.. LETS GO 1-1 Tomorrow fellas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Beating a team three times in a row in a very short time span is a difficult thing to do to say the least, but I sense the Wolves are hungry for a win after coming short last game against a very good playoff team. I predict a win here, but not by much. They may be a little too overconfident, but we'll see what happens.

I will be incredibly pissed and dissapointed if we lose to the Bucks after the games tonight(them losing to CHA, us barely losing to OKC).

Rubio should already start.

That might be a bad thing. They'll come out hard to get a win after a loss like that.

Well that's dissapointing. Let's see if Terry Porter could take over for Adelman when RA hangs em up.

hmmmm...His career coaching record is 99-116.

His most recent stint as head coach, he was 28-23 with the Suns.

I wonder how important it is for Adelman to be at the helm instead of Porter? Or how much it will matter to our win or loss.

Adelman to miss Bucks game

Post#11 » by weasel » Tue Dec 27, 2011 5:55 am

MINNEAPOLIS -- Minnesota Timberwolves coach Rick Adelman will miss the team's game at Milwaukee on Tuesday night to attend funeral services for his mother-in-law.

The team made the announcement following the Wolves' season-opening loss to Oklahoma City on Monday night. Assistant coach Terry Porter will serve as coach for the game against the Bucks.

Porter has twice been a head coach in the NBA, with the Bucks from 2003-05 and the Phoenix Suns in the 2008-09 season.

Adelman took over as Timberwolves coach this season after four years in Houston. The Timberwolves fell to Oklahoma City 104-100 in his debut.

if we come with the same kind of energy and desire we had against okc we're gonna be in great shape. we we're notorious for playing the best teams extremely tough only to have let downs in the following games against weak/mediocre teams. bring the energy fellas.

I'll be taking advantage of the free lp and watching this one. No Adelman this early in the season hurts.

was there a game thread for yesterdays game? I couldn't find it?
there was a couple times I wanted to post RUBIOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

although maybe that's why no one tells me where the game threads are.

side note, did anyone else think the Thunder were playing like jerks yesterday? especially westbrook, not just sayin that cuz he was killing us either, he seemed to be laughing as he elbowed guys...

I've been waiting this game for long time... please Porter, give the starting role to RR and let's enjoy the embarrassing display of "talent" of brandon jennings "he's all hype" guy :P if he usually doesn't crack the 40% shooting... tonite will be less than 30% and rubio will force him at least 5 TO...

Looking forward to this game tonight. If we can keep the same energy and intensity I think we can beat the Bucks on their floor.

Would love to see Rubio dominate Jennings but I really hope he doesn't get caught up in making it personal. I don't think he will. The kid seems to be all about winning and doesn't appear to care about scoring and stats. Love his attitude!

Beating a team 3 times in a two week period is going to be tough but I think we have the talent to pull it off.

Go WOLVES!!!

Westbrook has a terrible basketball IQ. If it wasn't for his insane athletic abilities and defense he would already be out of the league.
At least, as long as Westbrook is still on the Thunder they are guaranteed to never win a championship. :D

Rubio and JJ need to play at least 32 mins, we need to rebound, and hit free throws during crunch time and we'll be fine.

On the Westbrook/attitude topic - I think its been so long around here since we've seen a competitive team we've forgotten what it looks like. Westbrook punking Barea, then getting called for two charges? Perkins scowling and muttering about ever foul (which KG did while he was here, let's not forget)? That's just competition, players rising to the atmosphere. It was great, IMO.

I agree with Twolvesfan - if they bring the same energy against the Bucks that they brought to the home opener, they'll be fine.
