EDIT:

I understand the thinking behind players with special cases, but it is my general understanding that all three of Brooks, Smith and Martin will be back playing this season with the NBA as soon as the CBA season is over with. In Brooks' case, PHX made the qualifying offer (which would be prorated accordinlgy) and he should be rosterable by PHX this season with full Bird rights going into this next off season.

Again, that's just my understanding - coming primarily out of my frsutration with that PHX/HOU trade to begin with.

I understand your concerns, but from my understanding all contracts here are voided because they didn't start the season. Thats why teams like the Knicks are talking about picking up Chandler, Kmart mid season. If you can find a legit source saying that the Suns have Brooks through the whole year, I may change it, but I don't think they have him because he wasn't here when the season started, and therefore his old contract is gone.

And the reason I don't put them available mid-game is because that gets messy and becomes more of a first come first served deal than anything, so it would just be more fair to have them in the normal FA class with the rest, being decided like the rest.

Thanks for your concern though.

No worries. And I agree with your second point.

Just sent a message to Philly giving him one last shot at putting up a roster and being active. Otherwise they're yours.

DEN was very active the 1st day.

I don't even know what Phillys roster looks like, and Den made 2 trades then vanished.

I've got Nurkic fever now.
