Lol. I just have high expectations of the kid. That's all. I am sure he will pick it up eventually.

I do think Sessions is one of the best backups in the NBA.

Loving me some TT so far.

Can we make a count down thread for how many more games Jamison has to be on this team? He's even more of a chucker this year than before.

Also, Varejao remains our best player by long shot.

only thing I don't like about this game is that it'll cause a lot of not-so-bright people to label Irving a bust

He would have looked fine if his shot was dropping too.

I'm much more excited about Thompson than I am worried about Irving right now.

TT looked pretty active out there, and maybe its a good thing Kyrie had a mediocre first game just to temper expectations for him. I'm sure he will figure things out, but getting worked by Calderone?

This

Note that he's had like one week of training camp mixed with two preseason games. Add in a little jitters and you saw what you saw last night. He has the raw talent. The NBA has to come to him. He's a smart kid. He just has to adjust his game. I'm not worried. It's inevitable that he'll figure it out. My excitement is more with Tristan. His motor really surprised me. If he develops a jumper this guy will be a perennial all-star without a doubt. The future is bright people. I was so mad that the bigs other than AV and TT played horrid D. I have to remember that this team is a work in process. But so far with the young players I'm impressed. Even though Kyrie's shot wasn't falling he still put up a AST-TO ratio of 7:1 last night so I know he'll catch on quick.

Not worried about Irving either. When I played and someone that I thought (knew) I was better than got the best of me I was always looking for payback. I am interested in how Irving looks not only next game but the next time against toronto. I dont think he got to be the first pick in the draft without that fire to get back at someone who had a better night against him for whatever reason.
I just hope he isnt trying to do too much at the start of his career. He hs plenty of time to adjust even if he doesnt think so or feel that way.
