Sounds like he wants more $$ than he's worth, but I bet he'll show up somewhere before the season is over.

Didn't ask what you wanted  I asked if there was any news and opinions if he would return to the NBA.

he is injured and wont be back for another week or two so maybe something happens in a couple pf weeks. I think he would be best to sign with a running team that plays him at PF ie GSW, Phoenix Suns, or maybe the Knicks. He will have to sign for mid-level expection at best.

He would help the Jazz as a backup forward but it would take minutes from the young guys.
Top 4 seed in the West!!! Guaranteed!!!

This is not thread worthy and has been discused the entire summer and lock out. Reading is fundamental so go read the other threads and not start another one. :D

Yup, I actually forgot about him until I read this. I totally agree with MJ.

mixed emotions about AK..

My opinion is he doesn't need $$ or cares much for it. If I remember right he's donating his entire salary while playing in Russia to charity.

Nice guy on and off the court, still could EASILY play in the NBA but he's priced himself out because he can. If someone is stupid enough to spend that much money he'll come over to certain teams and situations, otherwise he'll just keep his family in Russia. He's probably tired of moving the family around and if he did come back this season (with us or any other team) he would last to game 3 or 4 before getting injured in this condensed season. I think he spent 1/3 of the season last year watching games in a suit.

(i'm more interested in Fes since we only have 2 centers and we own his bird rights so we still could sign him if we wanted...)

Something tells me he's going to play out the rest of his career in Russia.
In '03-'04, Jerry Sloan coached the ESPN predicted "worst team of all time" to 42-40.

I don't expect him back with the Jazz. I wouldn't be disappointed if they did bring him back.
His passing and defense could be very valuable. If he did come back I would hope he comes off the bench. I think 15-20 min a game might be the only way he might stay healthy.

I have been expecting one of the contending teams to make him an offer.
I could see the lakers take a gamble on him.

Andy Kaufman
"Thibs called back and wanted more picks," said Jorge Sedano. "And Pat Riley, literally, I was told, called him a mother-bleeper and hung up the phone."
