I can see the Hawks losing this one, if they don't show the utmost respect for their opponent.

Deron is going to make plays, but if the Hawks don't show respect to Marrow, Humphries, or even Petro, i could see one of them having a big game, getting a lead, and putting the Hawks away.

as long as the Hawks shows everybody on the Nets the respect that they deserve, then it should be an easy win.

we just have to wait and see what team shows up, will it be a professional, discipline team, or the immature, isolation, don't trust anybody, lazy team

Official Thread:GM1 of 66; Hawks @ Nets Dec 27,2011

Post#2 » by Superiorblogman » Tue Dec 27, 2011 6:57 pm

Will be a tough one. Nets played last night which gives us a slight advantage and Lopez is out for a couple of months. Deron is not a good matchup for Teague so if he starts to post him Joe may have to guard him for a while. I think we should win but I thought the Wizards would beat the Nets last night. So much for my thoughts I am ready to see this one play out.

Regular season ball coming up 2nite. The game is on league pass which I currently have because of the free preview. It's also on foxsouth for local people. 7:30 PM Eastern Time.

Thank you for making the game thread.

Atlanta is favored to win by 4.5 points.

New Jersey played their ass off last night against Washington. Deron Williams and Kris Humphries each had over 20 points and Humphries had 16 rebs.

Yess we have been waiting for this since the lockout, I honestly didn't think we'd be discussing this during October but it feels great. We just gotta control the boards against them, and in my opinion we need to shut Morrow down, when that man gets hot hitting 3s he's difficult to stop. It'll be easier without Lopez and we play this team 3 times by Jan 9 and twice in the first 3 games so Lopez being out is a huge plus for us. LET'S GET THIS SEASON STARTED!!!!!!!

Just turned on the game. What is going on with Horford? NO REBOUNDS in the 1st?

who is that guy wearing number 24? I thought that was Marvin Willaims number. We must of traded Marvin or something, because this guy can play! He kind of looks like Marvin though, but he in not playing like him......it can't be Marvin because he is walking up straight and getting rebounds and making shots..... who is that guy?

Don't get too excited. It could still be the same Marvelous, mentally, even though, physically, he seems to be very much improved.

But - as my ol' coach used to say, "He DO look pretty good, don't he?"

I know its the 1st game and NJ played last night but wow! I like what I see so far. Just think if the Hawks could add a true center to this squad. Wishful thinking.

Marvin Williams went to the foul line on the fast break but he had two open teammates. Especially Teague. Oh well, I like it, because Marvin is showing that he wants a serious role on the offensive end.

I hate to say this with a 25 point lead but, man!, Pargo's killing us. He's acting as if he's sleep walking.
