I really thought T-Mac was going to dunk that. Then I realized it was 2011. =(

We will be deep once Kirk gets back.

IF (if, if, if) we can trust what we see against these Nets.

Although, I AM imaging the backups we have out on the court right now with Kirk Hinrich....

I don't know how he will be long term but Vlad's bb IQ seems to be very high.

I've followed his career during the NBA over the years. I've always liked him, not his contract over the years, but at the minimum he's a steal for us.

Replace Willie Green with Kirkland and we automatically come out ahead.

I liked Vlad and T Mac off the bench 29 points! Of course Zaza (11-13) and Green once he will be in the groove of things. Pargo will be a solid back-up until KH is fully back in shape...or traded.
Johnson did not back down but his reputation must be international with that T on Okur. Yet, out of the 2 who played 6 minutes, I would take him over Stack any time. 2 points, yes but driving and creating his shot and 4 rebounds and hustle play! He is a keeper.

Again, best surprises were Vlad and T Mac who appeared more aggressive than in Preseason. I actually think that in spite of Jamaal's departure, and with KH still hurt, our bench is deeper...but Stack needs to go...especially with Green and T Mac backing up Joe. KH can also give minutes. Maybe they have a trade in mind and he could be a trading chip - one of many others- (not in term of BB value but maybe in term of cap, who knows)

I'll take it. I am satisfied for the night. Would have liked to see a couple of things go better but I will not mention them specifically.

Surprisingly good first step. Ups weren't really there but they were decent and the refs must have forgotten who he was because they gave him no love on his drives to the basket.

Willie can light it up. Replacing Pargo with Kirk is the answer.

You have that switched.

i never dogged TMac during the preseason, like alot of Atlanta fans did, i never dogged him.

it is clear that TMac is a 15 year vet that doesn't care about the preseason but still has serious game.

You seem to forget that this was only the "3rd exhibition game" and with only Zaza returning of the bench. All 6 other players were new. I think that they did well ( and I will mention a few things specifically):
to come out the gates early
to rest the starters (everytime they can do that this season will be a bonus- it will be like taking a game off that compacted season- huge deal long run)
to have the bench increase and sustain the lead
to be more aggressive collectively in D
and mostly to have sucessful game right away from Vlad and T Mac (bye bye JC1)...but again this is only the 3rd preseason game, with pargo and Green signed days before the season started...

I cannot believe we won with such a difference. I am dying to watch the game and check out all the good things you are saying.
Unfortunately, although I subscribed for NBA LP, here in Spain the game was televised by the network that has the rights, so that means the game is blocked out for 2 days (actually a day and a half) until we can watch it through LP.
